The ruins are very awesome to see but people do not pay much attention to signs about not climbing on them - but no one enforces the rules either. Sad to see such old architecture being disrespected by someone trying to take a perfect selfie.

Amazing Stay

Small for room place along the river. Stayed in the old Thai style house, was amazing. The room was very clean, the service was amazing and really enjoyed breakfast. Will definitely being staying here again.

Stayed two nights. It’s a wonderful place to spend time. The room was great, the cat friendly but not loyal to me, the outdoor breakfasts good and the general ambiance excellent. Getting tuk tuk and organising tours we did through the hotel and they were very efficient. Very much enjoyed the stay!

Had a great stay at the Phuttal home stay. The staff barely speak english but was able to communicate using google translate. My daughter really enjoyed feeding the fish in the river.

Very nice and clean room. Very friendly and supportive staff. Fast support via Whatsapp even when sightseeing in Ayutthaya. Good location for visiting temples by bike which are provided free of charge. We will definitely come back when again travelling to that part of Thailand.

Highly recomended

This hotel is more like a private living in a house. We were exellently recieved by the staff and very well taken care of during our stay. The room was beautiful and large. We were recommended to take a scenic 2 hour boat tour leaving directly from the residence which we realy enjoyed. We will definitely stay at Phuttal Residenve during our next visit to Ayutthaya!

The property is in a safe, quiet area next to the river. Our Garden Room was clean, spacious and with plenty of storage. The staff were very friendly and made sure you wanted for nothing. There was a good variety and plentiful breakfast that was served to you by the river. Transport was easily arranged for wherever you wanted to go, and at a reasonable cost. It was lovely to sit in the well maintained garden for a drink next to the river. Highly recomended.

This place is a gem within the old town. Very comfortable quiet room overlooking the river, we had a big Thai breakfast and used the free bicycles to tour the city. Staff were very accommodating to our needs and would definitely return for future travels. Of note, after booking the suite, a comprehensive message was sent explaining the various tours, the residence services offered. I thought this was a very nice personal touch from the owner. Thanks for the memories.

Overall great

The service was excellent (the staff was really attentionate !), the location is great (you can reach the historical sites very easily by bike), the site and the view are great! The main downside is sleeping : the room is not isolated, neither from noise nor from light. There are very noisy boats passing anytime during the night, cute but noisy birds and lizards, and the sunlight will wake you up pretty early if you don't have something to cover your eyes. But with something to cover eyes and ears, it's a nice and enjoyable place :)

Amazing location right next to a canal. The ladies who run the place don’t speak much English but we had no problem communicating using our phones. They fed us a big and delicious breakfast.

A homey riverfront homestay

This is definitely one of the best location I have ever stayed in this trip and in fact, all around Asian countries that I stayed in. A very friendly host and has converted her mum’s place into the homestay. The place is very cosy and layback. The room is both simple and nice. A pity that I only stayed for a night.
