Awesome spot to stay

A great place to stay with views over towards the beach and close to most places on the island. Unit was clean and tidy and the resort itself was small, but had everything you needed. The only down-side was that when we received our arrival instructions, there was a note that the pool incurred a $10 charge which I thought should be included in the room cost. I would certainly stay there again when staying in Waiheke.

The property is not a premium apartment, more like a chalet/cabin. It is much smaller than advertised and missing some of the advertised features. The bedroom is so small you cannot easily walk around the bed and there is not room for storage. The property used strongly scented diffusers to hide underlying smells. The location is not near the beach, but is located in a resort that is showing significant signs of age/neglect, particularly the pool and other recreational areas. Use of the pool is an extra charge. A visit to the guest laundry showed sheets from the resort lying in water/dirt on the floor. The wifi did not work. Construction work was being undertaken on the next door chalet/cabin on a Sunday evening and again first thing on the Monday so it was difficult to relax Approached the owner about the property who blamed the management company for the misrepresentation on Expedia. The management company described the property as entry level not premium. There are plenty of other accomodation alternatives on Waiheke than this apartment.
