"We loved this meticulously restored to its 1800s splendor--think Haussmann Parisian high ceilings and large French windows--with exquisite Egyptian antiques yet all modern conveniences (en suite bathrooms, air conditioning etc). Atmosphere is completed by being met each morning by elderly woman maitre d' in flawless French. High on 5th floor down a pedestrianized side street, no Cairo traffic noise to disturb you. Walkable to Egyptian Museum and old Cairo but in an Egyptian medium/high...

"Excellent breakfast outside next to the hotel, very clean rooms, 4 restaurants just inside the property with terasse outside, not too expensive $150 US breakfast included a nice basket of fruits upon arrival and a large bottle of water. 15 minutes from the airport, 45 minutes to the Sohynx and Keopsand the Grand Museum. 3 minutes walking to reach the Metro. Room is nice and clean, we have electric kettle in room but no tea, milk or coffee so please get your own tea bags or coffee sachet with you otherwise there is plenty available around there. Location is brilliant and very close to many city attractions, plenty of shopping around and metro station in nearby. Lot of local street food is there in that area.
