Hotel was closed, had to book a different one
Hotel was closed and apparently no guests staying, despite our room booking apparently being the last available room. Phone number went through to an answer machine each time we called (several times) and answer machine message was only in French and we were unable to understand it. Helpful local man left a message for the managers advising them that we had arrived but no response. We had to book a different hotel for the night. Note that we arrived a full 2 hours before check in time was stated to finish. Received refund following a call to Expedia customer support, but felt I needed to submit this review because 1 week later we have had no contact, acknowledgement or apology from the hotel. Not good.

quiet village hotel......no!
charming hotel and nice staff.... but my room was on the street side of a tiny isolated village and the trucks and motorcyles every few minutes were quite noisy and kept me awake

Lovely hotel, good owner and great local shops.
The stay was great but when we arrived on time for our check in, the hotel was kicked and a sign in the door stating ' be back soon '. We had to phone at our cost and wait approximately half an hour before we could get in. After a 560 km journey, this was very frustrating. Also hotel not in correct location in GPS - was sent 3 miles away. Owner was very accomadating and attentive - the service was excellent.

Exceptional restaurant
This was the first day of our GR5 walk from Thonon Les Bains and our first night in France for 20 years. We were completely wowed by the food and service at the restaurant. We also had a pleasant stay in a quiet room - not huge but fine for our needs. The owner was friendly and the shady deck area the best place for a beer in the late afternoon. Also - we forgot to tell the owner but he has an (unlabelled) photo of a classic New Zealand view on one of the landings. It is of the jetty at Lake Rotoiti in Nelson Lakes National Park.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in ländlicher Umgebung.
Wir hatten ein grosses Zimmer gebucht auf der ruhigen Seite der Gebäudes, so dass wir die Fenster nachts problemlos offen halten konnten. Die Einrichtung ist modern und funktionell, Bad mit Dusche und separate WC, Zimmer mit bequemes Grandlit, Schreibtisch und Stuhl. Neben einer kleinen Garderobe leider keinerlei Ablage oder Schrank vorhanden, sodass man die Kleider im Koffer lassen muss. Kein Kühlschrank, keine Glasgläser (nur Pappe). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist liebevoll aufgebaut mit einer ordentlichen Auswahl an lokalen Produkten. Da wir kein Abendessen hatten, können wir die Küche nicht beurteilen.

とても良かった。フランスの田舎町のホテルで、冷房は無く、冷蔵庫も無いが、女将さんも親父さんもとてもフレンドリー。 そして他のレビュー通り、レストランが素晴らしい。夏休み中の学生の給仕さんがとても丁寧に接客してくれた。 毎年来たいと思ったホテル。（ただし部屋はとても暑いので真夏以外で）

Payer 10€ le parking pour au final devoir me garer à 200m sur un parking réservé au autre commerces. Une chambre rediculement petite avec une TV tellement haute sur l armoire qu'elle est inutilisable et une porte qui ne ferme pas. Des draps tachés, une salle de bain crade... Bref je déconseille fortement.

Deux nuits passées dans cet établissement avec 2 diners et 2 petits déjeuners. Séjour très agréable, le personnel avenant et souriant, le patron sympathique et drôle. Bons petits plats un peu chers à mon gout. Petit déjeuner copieux. Grand lit confortable. Les moins: La qualité de ménage pouvait être améliorée car j'ai trouvé plusieurs cheveux dans la chambre et à mon arrivé la petite poubelle de la salle de bain n'était pas vidée...

Restaurant fermé le 20 août !! Nous venions pour le restaurant. Hôtel isolé, loin des lieux touristiques. Le personnel à la réception est sympathique mais saisonnier (étudiants). Par contre le petit déjeuner est super.

Bonjour, Effectivement grâce au 35h00 nous donnons des congés à notre personnels et il nous faut fermer le restaurant. Sur le descriptif de l’hôtel sur le site de réservation vous saviez que nous étions à quelques kilomètres de Thonon ou Evian. La chambre était très propre, avec une jolie décoration. Deux petits bémols toutefois ; la chambre était vraime't petite, et nous n'avions pas de balcon.

Her var det egentlig ingenting som var bra. Selve plassen var øde og ikke noe folk. Restauranten på hotellet serverte kanskje det dårligste måltidet i manns minne. Menyen tilsa det skulle være bra, men fikk en and som var absolutt forferdelig. Betjening var sur og gretten. Alt i alt så ble dette tommel ned

Hello, We are following your return following your visit on July 14th. That night we did not have many people at the restaurant, while the hotel was full because everyone was at the lake to see the fireworks of the French National Day. We can hear that your choice of menu did not suit you. Why not have it directly. This menu was: Mackerel served two ways home-smoked and deconstructed as rillettes, homemade rye bread roll, traditional celeriac remoulade Roasted duck breast, orange lentil cream, small shot potatoes confit flavored with smoked garlic Local cheese selection gold profiteroles '' Frozen yogurt and hot chocolate sauce, caramelized peanut topping '' Finding her "the worst meal of man's memory" I do not know what you usually eat. We can just tell you that most of our customers do not leave such comments. They are pretty good for our restaurant. We have, at the moment, an "excellent" customer satisfaction of 83% on 11 different sites with more than 850 reviews, so this suggests to us that we are doing our utmost every day so that our customers are satisfied.
