A great Family Hotel

Hotel Pelops was the most beautiful and quaint small hotel. The staff greeted us at the entrance and made us feel completely welcome. Our rooms were beautiful and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the church next door. We played family games in the breakfast area beside a cozy fire in November. They provided a map of Olympia with suggested locations for dinner as well as sites. We have been coming to Greece for 50 years and our stay in Olympia at Hotel Pelops was exceptional!

Σε γενικές γραμμές έμεινα ευχαριστημένη. Το πρωινό θα μπορούσε με μην χρεώνεται εξτρα και επίσης θα ήταν σωστοτερο να υπάρχει ζεστό νερό όλες τις ώρες της ημέρας. Τέλος, καλό θα ήταν να υπάρχει χώρος στάθμευσης του ξενοδοχείου καθώς στις πληροφορίες αναγραφόταν ότι υπήρχε πάρκινγκ ενώ κάτι τέτοιο δεν ίσχυε. Η καθαριότητα και το δωμάτιο γενικα ήταν καλά.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, providing me with a map that showed how to get to the museums and archaeological sites. Susann also recommended some restaurants for dinner, and I can back her referral to Pheidias Grill: Amazing service and food! The room was very spacious, clean, and had everything I needed, including great wifi signal. Breakfast had a nice selection of food as well as freshly pressed orange juice. I loved the furniture and the decor in the room and the overall hotel, which felt authentic and created a homey atmosphere. The book exchange/library on the ground floor is a splendid idea for people who are staying longer and crave some reading material. Ideal accommodations when you're staying in Ancient Olympia!

This is a super clean property ran by friendly staff/owner. It is pet friendly (hard to find in Greece). All safety measures were in place (masks, hand sanitizers, etc). Its central location adds to its value.

Warnung! Obligatorische Temperaturmessung wegen Covid 19 an der Rezeption des Hotels! Wir wären sofort wieder gegangen, wenn wir nicht schon bezahlt hätten. Zimmer und Frühstücksbuffet in Ordnung. Wir können diese Adresse insgesamt NICHT empfehlen!

A hotel with plenty of character.

I was really impressed by the character of this hotel. The owner and his spouse were very welcoming and made us feel at home from the get go. The breakfast was plentiful and great with a good selection of items. The room was big, very well maintained (as the rest of the property), and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast/seating area was very interesting and comfy. It has books, table games, and a chimney that is the center of attention there. Do not hesitate in booking here as you will enjoy this place as much as I did.

We arrived with our Expedia printout in hand, having made a reservation months before. The hotelier said we had no reservation. When we produced the printout, he decided that he still didn't have a room for us, but he would get one in a neighboring hotel. Problem is, our guide book said every other place in town was poor. We don't speak Greek, and we were exhausted, so we had to accept the other hotel, Hotel Kronio. It was okay. The man could have at least apologized.

Accueil très sympathique par le propriétaire et en français. Donne de bons conseils pour les restaurants etc... Au centre d'olympie à 15 minutes à pieds du site antique. Chambre un peu vieillissante mais très propre avec un très grand lit. Seul petit bémol la douche très petite. Petit déjeuner buffet très bien. Possibilité d'aller se baigner dans la piscine de l'hôtel europa à 5 minutes en voiture
