"The hotel was average by local standards. WiFi didn’t work in the rooms and the hallways are dark as they are controlled by motion sensors. Buffet breakfast was decent and they did accommodate our request for a different room type that didn’t show up on the website for just the difference in cost. AC worked and the water for a shower was hot."

"I stayed for 10 days at the K. It is not a luxury accommodation, but totally fine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is quiet and there is a small shop nearby. I was able to order food from a small restaurant opposite the shop - delivered to my room. One of the staff took me to a gym and picked me up later, which was really nice. HOTEL DE LA MEDINA

HOTEL DE LA MEDINA

10/10 Excellent
"A beautiful, peaceful retreat in Nouakchott! I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel La Medina. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the hotel’s quiet location felt safe and peaceful. Everything is beautifully decorated, with an indoor garden reminiscent of a traditional Moroccan riad, a lovely touch that makes the hotel feel special. The rooms are spacious, and the complimentary breakfast is another welcome bonus. What stood out most was the combination of warm hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend La Medina to anyone visiting Nouakchott!"
