"We spent three lovely days at the villa up in the mountains. It was full of rustic charm and very peaceful (the only sounds in the evening were goats and birds!) The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! ..."

In recent years it has become extremely busy. An OK beach has been covered from end to end with sunbeds. Civic amenities have not kept up with massive increase in tourists. Crete is very beautiful but litter is a problem
