Bastion Hotels provide a strong standard of service for value focussed travellers. The staff has been professional for many of my visits and the property standards are high. Love the breakfast, as well as restaurant menu. Appreciate the airport shuttle very much too.

Airport hotels are generally not the places you visit by pleasure but by necessity. The hotel shuttle missed one rotation and we had to wait for it a total of 50 minutes. We checked in on a machine, which was neigher pleaseant nor unpleasant - the only "staff" we met. Good point is, we didn't wait. The room was standard and clean, a correct value for the price. Beds are comfortable. Big work in progress at the moment in a nearby hotel. We escaped on morning and had our breakfast downtown Amsterdam.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The hotel is dated. The carpets need cleaning and the walls are in need of paint. The AC system was poor so being there in a heat wave wasn't fun. The staff was amazing!! The restaurant was pricey but there is a McDonald's next door and other options available.

The shuttle was fantastic, frequent and direct, making the trip to the hotel painless. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel had a lot of security, extra locked doors…. so it felt very safe. It was an affordable option, allowing us to stay near the airport, when our flight schedule was tight. It is not fancy, however, it was clean and close to the airport and within a price range for an average traveller.

Great free shuttle to the airport. The only negative is there isn't any place to eat or walk around to see. Their restaurant is the only place to eat unless you want McDonalds. I know this is out of their control but think people should be aware if they are staying there. Outside of that, the place was clean and the people very nice.

I had a very pleasant stay at Bastion Hotel Amsterdam. One of the biggest advantages was the complimentary shuttle service, which made it incredibly easy to connect to both the airport and the metro, providing quick and convenient access to Amsterdam city centre. The property is accessed via free hotel shuttle from Schipol airport. Which is super convenient for getting to and from Amsterdam Centraal train station. The thermostat and phone in our room but guest services changed our room to one with working air conditioning, had a much better sleep. The rooms are clean and quiet. Everything you need and nothing you don't. They have an on-site restaurant if you don't feel like hunting for dinner. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Amsterdam.
