Great modern hotel in the center of Almaty

Great modern hotel in the center of town. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was minimal hot water in the shower, otherwise everything was perfect.

The hotel is average, they refused to give me additional towels, saying I can only have one and when it is used then I can request another. Which is bizarre!! Breakfast is below poor, the scrambled eggs where ice cold (not even lukewarm) bread stale and hard like rocks, I asked for sunny side up, they came drenched with oil and burnt below, the coffee was not good at all either. On the upside, room was spacious and clean. The heating system is a bit tricky needs to be adverted frequently, because the settings kept changing on their own!

The free mini bar as marketed was never there unfortunately, when leaving we saw on the announcement board that they provide it upon request, however the reception didn’t say a word about it. In general the welcoming was very cold and unpleasant. The facility and rooms were nice!

Avoid. Not 4-star. Not 9.0 rating.

I cannot understand how this hotel gets a 9.0 rating. Please be aware that the Wi-Fi is terrible. You can just about download files but streaming or video calls are nearly impossible. Couple that with the fact that there was no signal on the TV for the entirety of my five-night stay, and this doesn’t spell out 4-star hotel to me. The towels are tiny, the hotel has just one corkscrew that apparently disappeared so they were unable to provide one and the breakfast is distinctly average. There are better hotels in Almaty for the same price or cheaper. Honestly, please avoid.

Nachteile waren lediglich: kaum noch Wasserdruck wenn man wirklich warm duschen möchte, Klimaanlage war im März bei 22 grad draußen nicht anzuschalten was im Zimmer 28 grad mit sich brachte, Bar in der Lobby unverhältnismäßig teuer für das preislevel in der Stadt, Beispiel 1 lokal Bier 7,90 EUR

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful with all our queries and requests. We particularly liked the generous delicious breakfast and how hospitable the restaurant team was. We used the spa upstairs twice and we loved it. Just be sure to take your own flip flops to the spa because the shoes the hotel gives for free is slippery on those surfaces. The whole hotel is clean, the room was nice and good for its price. I would recommend staying at this hotel whether you are visiting Almaty for business or fun.

I like Mercure because their rooms and facilities are always modern and clean. This hotel in Almaty was no exception. Very satisfied with breakfast and their service was good in general. There are some dining options available within walking distance.

Great hotel mostly except issues at check out

My usual stay when at Almaty but the hotel this time made a mistake on the invoicing when I had already checked out and when I asked to separate various charges, was told I have already checked out so they cannot reverse/provide as requested. It wasn't even my fault the error was done at the check out area yet they will not oblige my request, truly disappointing as after 3 emails no one has bothered to respond.

오픈한지 얼마 않되서 그런지 깨끗하고 좋았어요. 전반적으로 직원들도 친절하고 좋았지만 다리미와 다리미판을 요청했는데 준다고 하더니 갑자기 없다고 못 준다고 하더라구요. 그것도 몇 시간 지난 후 재 요청하니 그제서야 없다고 ㅜㅜ 공항에서는 15분 정도 호텔에서 도보 5분 정도에 마트와 아르바트 거리 같은? 스트리가 있어서 저녁에는 버스킹도 하고 인파가 많아요. 크지 않지면 쇼핑몰도 있어요!
