Glorified Youth Hostel

The location was wonderful (other than being in a pedestrian only zone with absolutely no parking nearby), Felice was extraordinarily friendly and the price was great. But how this place gets an 8.4 review rating and I thought 4 stars is perplexing. It is basically a glorified youth hostel.

It’s fine for a couple days. The Ritz it is definitely not but fine for a short stay and, if you get the terrace/patio, it does have a great view. It can be noisy, though, as it is on the main walkway area and above a bar/cafe. As others noted, you absolutely cannot check in before 3:30pm so you’ll have to leave your luggage in your car or at the service Moove. Finally, there is no parking. You will have to find paid or street parking, which may be a challenge in Alghero.

Francesco was a great help! We arrived in the evening in Alghero and he was there to help us with bags and the car. Many Americans will not realize the parking limitations of older historical towns here. Francesco also helped us change our rooms as we were traveling with children and wanted rooms one next to one another. What can I say we were there 2 nights with rooms overlooking the sea-walls of Alghero and the Mediterranean Sea, it was fantastic!

Great location, but the bed was uncomfortable - could feel all the springs. Also had the loudest air con unit I've ever heard. Thank goodness for ear plugs.

A couple trip

The room was clean, simple and retro style furniture. As for the period we were at the end of March and it was necessary warmth both in the room, where we had, and in the bathroom where we did not. The sea view from the window is spectacular. The staff very friendly and jumpy. If you are not picky people I recommend you try it,if you have more picky you better say no .

Strictly no check in or suitcase drop until 3.30p

I arrived in Alghero at 10 am and was not allowed to check in or even leave my suitcase there until 3.30pm. I had contacted the accommodation to ask for this and was told that they could not help me.

Appena arrivati in struttura alle ore 15:30, come da accordi con il proprietario dell’attività, siamo rimasti 45 minuti all’esterno della struttura e provando a chiamare non rispondeva nessuno. Dopo vari tentativi richiama il titolare con il quale ripeto avevamo preso accordi e ci comunica che era fuori Alghero e sarebbe venuta una collaboratrice ad aprire la camera per fare il check in. La collaboratrice ci avvertiva che visto che la prenotazione era di 5 giorni al 3 giorno sarebbe venuta un inserviente a cambiare le lenzuola e gli asciugamani, questo non è avvenuto fino al 4 giorno, praticamente inutile visto che il giorno seguente alle 10:30 saremmo andati via. In ultimo avevo chiesto telefonicamente se ci fossero problemi per accedere alla struttura con la vettura mi era stato detto che si trovava al centro ma che si trovava parcheggio a pochi metri, la struttura si trovava all’interno di una ztl non accessibile se non per i residenti. Consiglio questa struttura se si vuole stare al centro ma la sconsiglio assolutamente con la macchina e per il proprietario dell’attività ricettizia.

Alghero ist ein schönes Städtchen zum bummeln und lecker essen. Die Parkplatzsituation ist katastrophal. Der Vermieter ist sehr kurz angebunden und in keiner Weise hilfsbereit was Tipps zur Parkplatz Suche angeht.

Nonostante il nome sulla porta, non è un hotel. Trattasi di un affittacamere, per cui non c'è il personale sempre presente in loco. La camera aveva il bagno privato ma esterno e, ahimé, l'abbiamo scoperto solo quando siamo arrivati. La corrente elettrica attribuita a ciascuna stanza non regge aria condizionata, frigorifero e phon accesi contemporaneamente, infatti le prese di corrente hanno smesso di funzionare quasi subito. Peccato che anche a questo proposito non fossimo stati informati e l'abbiamo scoperto quando abbiamo chiamato il titolare per segnalare il problema. Non mi risulta, inoltre, che ci sia il parcheggio gratuito in zona come indicato. Essendo in pieno centro, il parcheggio è stato difficile trovarlo e, una volta trovato, era a pagamento. Proprio accanto all'ingresso della struttura, tra l'altro, c'è un bar con tavoli all'aperto, da cui giunge rumore fino a tarda ora. Pulizia ok e stanza vista mare in quanto davanti ai bastioni. In ogni caso, dato l'accaduto, non ci tornerei mai

B&B de pacotilla

Muchísimo ruido de la calle a última y primera hora, no cojían el teléfono para la recepción, suerte que me encontré al encargado de casualidad sino me hubiera quedado en la calle, avería del desague del lavamanos que no pudo reparar y me dijo que ya lo había reparado, no hay parking gratuito como expecifican en la web y el dueño dice que es culpa de Hoteles.com

B&b Palau Marco Polo

Esperienza davvero disastrosa.Innanzitutto la camera sul sito era un altra infatti la delusione nel vedere quella reale è stata palese. Il bagno era privato ma non era in camera come nella foto e sul sito non era specificato che era esterno. Il bagno era ghiacciato non abbiamo potuto nemmeno fare una doccia perché l'ambiente era freddissimo. Il condizionatore ha iniziato a perdere acqua e ha bagnato anche dei vestiti che erano appoggiati vicino.. Ad un certo punto le prese non funzionavano e non abbiamo potuto caricare i cellulari. Wi-Fi pessimo non prendeva quasi nulla la linea. La TV aveva solo un canale. La corrente è saltata per venti minuti rimanendo al buio ..peccato perché Alghero è bellissima ma se volete trascorrere una bella vacanza in comodità e relax non andate mai in questo specie di b&b accampato.
