I had requested not to receive the standard VIP welcome gift, and the staff member who greeted me thoughtfully arranged an alternative, ensuring I still felt warmly welcomed on arrival. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a well-appointed bathroom that included a separate bath. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good menu and attentive staff. However, on both mornings the meals I received differed slightly from what I had ordered. While this was only a minor issue, it was noticeable.

A truly excellent little hotel at the east end of Rundle Street with very spacious and functional guest rooms, the only negatives being the poor lighting over the vanity and the very slippery bath - a bit of a hazard for those of us of advanced years. The staff are very obliging, really reflecting what the hospitality industry is all about, and the portions on the breakfast menu are very generous. Location-wise, the hotel is convenient for free tram and bus services and surrounded by excellent restaurants offering almost any cuisine that you might fancy. What more could you want?

Don’t like hotels that don’t provide individual soap etc, what is the point of a bath if you have no soap etc to use. The soap was in bottles screwed to the wall above the sink and shower. Also the bath towels were very rough.
