We loved how it seemed to be nestled in the jungle! Beautiful flowers, walkways and wonderful food! The staff was amazing! And be sure to take them up on the massage and steam room!! Water park was fantastic! So much fun!!

We are not happy with the service! The first day they change our room, they give us a different room, and the second day they provide us with our room. The room is dirty, the wall is dirty, there is no hot shower or room service, and reception does not answer the phone. I think they are focusing on the money, not the service. I had a bad experience. @kuriftu

The attitude of the front office supervisor was ABSOLUTELY VERY RUDE. Some saff use abusive words not realizing that I understood the local language. The front officer manager even made a gesture on our back to other front office staff don't entertain us and just let us leave. My son notice the whole incident. Unfortunately he only brought it to my attention after we left. A seven star resort with ONE STAR SERVICE.

The rooms are like cabins with stone walls and cone shaped thatched roofs. Really nice, etnic style interior decor. The staff are really accommodating and professional. The food in the restaurant is delicious and overlooking the stunning looking lake where you can do kayaking for free. We got an out of this world massage in the spa, highly recommended. But it can be noisy at night, bring earplugs! The pool was empty, which was disappointing. And the waterpark beside the hotel was a letdown for my child. I'd go back to the hotel, though, and I'd recommend it but not as a base to go to the waterpark as this was not the best.

Quite nice traditional style resort and rooms but not kept and maintained too well, very tired in some areas, quite a few things seemed like they were rushed and not fiited well, curtain rails, electrics plumbing, i lost count of how many bare wires and electrical wires I saw in thd room and outside around the resort, wires joined with insulation tape , etc (dangerous to everyone staff and customers) drainage smell in bathrooms also, the resort is very quiet almost like a retreat which may suit many but fir me and us too quiet zero entertainment by night oh and the food alwsys cold, room service and restaurant.

Billed as a lakeside resort and spa, the place is more of a raucous water park for kids with rooms. We booked a lakeside Felix which had no view and, charming, was not comfortable. There were huge floodlights and no blackout curtains making it hard to sleep. Despite a restaurant on the lake, it was a hike to the water park cafeteria for breakfast. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Idyllic but poorly managed
The location of this resort is the best in the area, with idyllic scenery but the facility needs updating. It looks like simple maintenance doesn't exist in the operators thinking. For example, during my stay, I used two rooms; one with a good shower flow but poor drainage and another with poor shower flow but good drainage. The massage parole, particularly the massage table and covring are old and dirty. The towls I was provided with are old and has holes. The rooms curtains are in taters. Overall this place has a potential but crying for help.Last but not least, the staff are the best of my experience. They are polite and helpful. In every interaction I had with them, they went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.

The property is in the town of Bishftou. Its a cleaner city than addis and less congested. People are friendly including the staff at kirfut. I had the lake view which is beautiful and went kayaking immediately. The staff are helpful and accommodating. The room are a bit unkept but you can request housekeeping. They have pool, sauna, steam and massage. Also hair salon on location.

Nothing worked. I had an appointment scheduled for the steam room, but when I arrived on time, no one was there. And when someone finally came, it was out of order. The jacuzzi was not clean and it was cold and not working. The pool was ice cold and didnt have any heat. The cleaning crew took a full glass of wine and a double glass of Johnny Walker and dumped it. When we asked for it to be replaced, they made a huge ordeal bringing in 5 different people to speak with us over the course of 2 hours to get it resolved. Lastly, our phone in the room didnt work in our room and we repeatedly asked for it to be fixed. No one came after 2 days of stay. And finally the WIFI didn't work either.

Nice place to relax
A great way to escape the noise of Addis. Good selection of delicious food and the resort restaurant prices were not outrageously expensive. Room was large and very comfy. The fireplace is an interesting feature - wasn't expecting that. Great location for relaxing because there isn't anything else to do - just hang out and relax. Sure, the resort offers some activities if you feel the need to do something. Spa was very nice as well.

Great Grounds and View; Accommodations Lacking
The grounds were remarkable and the view astounding; however, the accommodations were lacking. I was awakened in the night to hear what I believe to be a rodent running around in our room. I heard claws on the tile floor, moving from one side of the room to the other. In the morning, I found rodent poop on the bed next to my daughter's pillow. It was a turn off. Granted, the rooms are set up for more open-air living if you choose, but this was a little too rustic for me. Additionally, the shower did not have hot water (I am unsure if that was the norm or if ours was just not working) and the drain did not drain well, so I was left standing in a pool of cold water at the end of my cold shower. We shared our concerns with the front desk and asked to cancel the remainder of our reservation. They offered to switch us to a different room, but at that point we just wanted to be done.

The resort and rooms are beautiful from flowers, landscaping, lighting, wall pictures, bed and rest of furniture. It was all wonderfully done. The service was good, food was excellent and massage was good. The only issue with service was check in and check out process was a little slow. The biggest negative was the water pressure. The second night our water wasn't working at all and couldn't even flush toilets. The next morning water was working again but it was still tough to take shower because of low water pressure. I have no idea how they are going to add a water park there with water pressure issues. We went kayaking on lake and saw a lot of water bottles floating on water. As clean as they ground, they should do better about keeping water bottles from lake.

Frustrating and stressful experience
I have been wanting to stay at a Kuriftu Resort for the past 8 years. At first, my group of 15 people was very excited to stay here. But virtually every interaction with the resort staff was frustrating, to say the least. Our bags ended up all over the place, including left in the dirt on the side of the road. The housekeeping staff passed off an old mini bar charge to our bill, which resulted in a several hour dispute with the management. The food at the restaurant was average, but the service was terrible. I never waited less than 45 minutes for a bill, and always ended up simply standing at the register holding out money before anyone would actually produce anything. And the management was not accommodating with late check out (even for 1 room) or luggage assistance when requested. It took over 2 hours for me to get the final bill to check-out...and I had already prepaid all the rooms! It was a truly exasperating experience. Such unprofessional behavior. With literally hundreds of staff, you would think at least a few would have been trained adequately. Alas, I never met one. I would never stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to others either.
