"Our stay at la Porte rouge was a dream. We got to stay in a room with garden view that was super quiet and night. The bath seemed freshly renovated and had everything one could wish for. Our hosts made us fantastic breakfast, and were always up for a talk and recommendations. The flair of the house is unbeatable. With the small garden and the old wooden floors it really feels like you are in a cozy home, the decor just rounds it perfectly. We would definitely recommend staying with them again, especially if you are travelling with pets."

"My ferry was delayed by 4 hours and they held my table until 21.15. I arrived 21.12. They were happy to serve me a full meal which was great and the receptionist remember my breakfast order from last time in October. If you are returning north or going south this is a great stop off.. you could even stay longer as it is so beautiful. Highly highly recommended."
