"None of the staff spoke English. Very hard to communicate. Staff was friendly but clueless on how to deal with visitors from outside of China Food offerings were limited. No restaurant, just a bistro Very bad location, away from the city, squeezed in a tiny street. The entrance gave the appearance of going into a warehouse Overpriced. Low value for money"

"This beautiful little hotel is built around a small courtyard that gives the feeling of a traditional Chinese home, with beautiful old woodwork and lattice bannisters and windows. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable, and the bathroom is large, with a self-flushing toilet. While the building is not soundproof, it is quiet at night. "Spent 3 wonderful nights here, and the staff took great care of us. Hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes away by foot to the main old town area. Definitely will stay here when visiting Shangrila again, highly recommended! "

"View and service were amazing. There is a bus station in front of the hotel parking from Lijiang old Town. The bus will stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge first, then ending at this hotel. We've spent a night here then took another bus direct to Shangri La the next day. "

"The staffi is friendly and responsive. However, the wood window and door is leaky. Other guests are really noisy. No elevator or breakfast. Not quite friendly for young kids or seniors."
