"Perfect for an overnight stay. Comfortable and clean room at rear of building. The owner was very helpful suggesting a circular walk seeing the highlights of Pau and booking a table for us at a simple French restaurant that he recommended. Mt husband was delighted to find a piano in the reception area that he could play."

"Hotel was good, service was excellent. Breakfast was very nice. Unfortunately they had a private function in the dining room so we had to eat else where. We had a flat tyre next morning and the owner could not have done more for us as we were having trouble getting the wheel off, he changed the wheel for us and put the faulty wheel in the boot as well. We can't thank him enough."

"La Chaumiere du Bois is the best choice if you are interested to travel around in the Pyrineys. It provides parking and is closed to commercial area of Tarbes. Unfortunately, during my stay the restaurant ws closed."

"Nice location across the street from Pau airport. Unfortunately my flight was canceled. Taxis and Uber unreliable, so i missed my train. Very small tv, no remote so useless. No shampoo, old towels. They seem to be trying to make this a nice small hotel, but basics are lacking. "

"Nice centric hotel - 7 euros for the parking- the lady in front desk was very polite and she assigned me a parking that the night front desk guy gave to someone else and I ended at the very back and dark area 10 points to the lady and 2 points to the guy"

"Travelling to and from UK to Spain we find this a very convenient ovenight stop. A lift to all floors makes access very easy. Having tea/coffe making facilites is a real bonus. The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable and the linen is clean and fresh. I personally appreciate a bath however having the shower over the bath can make getting in and out a little hazardous. A hand rail would be a very good solution. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has good free car...

"Friendly reception, although limited English, so had to try my limited French. Arrived around 20:00 and was encouraged to take dinner as soon as possible. Service and food very good, excellent use of local produce and wine, simple but tasty. Good choices of a la carte and day's specials.
