A perfectly fine hotel- has everything you need and very easy access to buses and trains. Rooms are small, but they make do as no one stays in the hotel on a vacation.

Overall a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We chose it for affordability so we were not expecting frills. It was located close to transportation which made it possible to reach everything but took 15+ minutes. It was located in an area with mostly office buildings so there was not much available immediately around the property to eat at. The staff was friendly but nothing extensive. There was a bar at the location but we didn't use it.

The room was extremely dated, with old carpets and décor that made the place feel dirty and uncomfortable. The atmosphere was unpleasant and honestly gave the impression of a very dodgy one-night-stand hotel. The location is awful if you’re visiting Zürich — it’s far from the city centre and surrounded by industrial buildings. Do not stay here if your plan is to enjoy the city. The curtains were plastic and stained with brown marks, which was disgusting. The bathroom smelled strongly of mould, as if it hadn’t been properly ventilated in years, and there was visible mould on the ceiling above the shower. The bed was equally bad — a thin, strange mattress that offered no comfort at all. I only stayed one night because I had an early flight the next morning. If that hadn’t been the case, I would have checked out immediately. The only positives were the staff, who spoke good English, an easy check-in process, and an excellent breakfast. The croissants were genuinely the best I had during my time in Switzerland.Overall, this hotel is only suitable if you are desperate for a cheap overnight stay near transport. Otherwise, avoid.

Everything Good except the rooms needed improved.

The breakfast was basic. You got everything you need from the buffet. Refill of the food was satisfied. The room was standard but the condition of the room were largely disappointed. The room before we found leakage from the sink was equipped with a sagging mattress while the luggage rack was missing. We then changed to another room and we found a small spider inside the bathroom. The location is good. If you get the right way, it only take 8 minutes from the tram station to the hotel by foot.

The hotel is located in a quiet area not far away from Oerlikon. Good transport links to the airport and the city centre. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly and made a very good first impression. However, we had to swap rooms straight away due to the toilet flush being broken. The second room was okay. There was no safe in the room which is a bit of a shame and same goes for the kettle. The breakfast was not good: dry bakery, very limited selection, eggs and bacon were terrible, same limited choices for the three days we stayed there. Breakfast items were not replenished fast enough with some trays sitting empty for long periods of time. This seems poor considering it’s an Ibis.

Hundreds of crazy tourists with enourmous luggage in the reception and occupying the elevators for hours during the evening. Reception mega crowded. Beware, the closeness to the airport draws busloads of those tourists.
