"The views are perhaps one of the best in the world. Big, mature pines on the side of a cliff with spectacular ocean views. Clean rooms, modern bathroom, and one of the best showers I've ever experienced. Not restricted super spray, but real water volume and endless hot water. When you arrive, your name is on a little white board indicating your room number. Go to your room and get your key from a lock box. Lock box combination is on your paperwork. Enjoy. Below the cabins is an area with a bench and there is one above the cabins as well. Incredible views!"
"Check-in was a breeze, but finding the room was a little confusing, even with a map supplied by the check-in person. The room was huge but still cozy and immaculately clean, and I loved the little seating nooks throughout the 2 rooms. I took away one star for staff/service. The check-in person was great—friendly and vibrant. I wandered over to the bar to grab a cocktail before heading to my room. Mind you, it's 5:30ish in the early evening, and the bar is empty. No customers and, more importantly, no bartender. I wait a few minutes and decide to form a one-woman search party. Lo and behold, I discovered him hidden behind a pillar, busy playing on his cell phone. He looks up, surprised that I've wandered in. I request if he could possibly make me a drink, and he replies, "Of course," and hightails it to the bar. I meet him there, and instead of asking me what I want to drink, he turns away and starts doing who knows what. I cleared my throat and asked again if he could possibly throw together a drink for me, specifically a margarita. Again, the look of surprise, like I just appeared out of thin air! Not sure what that was all about, but that's my only complaint. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel."
"Honestly one of the best two-night stays I have had in a while. My fiancée and I wanted something with a more authentic and private feeling than a hotel room and the cottages here provided that and more. Berta our housekeeper helped my fiancée set up a surprise for me & our cottage was impeccably clean and organized. The staff was super helpful and welcoming and encouraged us to use amenities like the very cute fire pits around the property. Such a super pet-friendly property, we saw lots of other guests casually strolling with their pets throughout the day. The location was super easy to get to just be super cautions when getting onto and into the ongoing traffic at the exit. Possibly everything you’re going to need for your stay is a fairly quick 10 min or less mile away. Mara Beach, Monastery Beach and Carmel Meadows Beach are nearby and very pretty! During our stay throughout the week we were able to avoid the crowds at these beaches and found parking fairly easy. Cannot wait to return and enjoy another cottage and to recommend this place to family and friends."
