"Run by the kindest people (and friendliest cats!) in all of Salem, and could not possibly be more centrally located! You can walk everywhere from here, and you have a front row seat to any events in the square - it's literally right across the street. Parking in Salem is at a premium, and we are driving a crew cab truck to make it even worse, but Matt went WELL above and beyond to make sure we got a great spot. Do note - it's a lovely old house, but like most old houses, it does have steps, ...
"This was a great hotel right in the center of downtown Salem. Location was perfect and convenient. Especially with the on site parking. Hotel was clean and client, we really enjoyed our stay!"
"We loved staying in a house built in the 1600s! It was like getting to sleep in a museum rather than a hotel.
Also - the Continental Breakfast was more than we expected! Beyond a few kinds of breakfast bread and a toaster, there was also whipped cream cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and a couple types of fresh fruit. We were very pleased.
There were only a couple drawbacks (which would NOT keep me from recommending the experience):

"Travelled with my parents to take a quick trip to Salem. Loved that there was shopping right next door, also choice of restaurants nearby.
They weren’t thrilled with the breakfast options, as they are used to more of a continental buffet style, but it met our needs for our first day and we found the Friendly Toast nearby, which was a fun retro breakfast-brunch place.
It was clean, had fluffy towels, but hard to rate staff, as we hardly saw any. (They only clean after 3 nights) fine for us,...
"Rooms were clean, the staff was professional, and the hotel is located right off Route 1/I-95. The breakfast was good, with the typical options of eggs, sausage, home fries, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, things like that. They also had juice, coffee, and tea.
They have a decent gym and indoor pool.
All in all, for the price and location I thought it was a great choice. I would stay there again. "
