Reception is unattended after hours and on the weekends. You have to call a number for someone to come done. Slightly inconvenient as I was going to request to leave my bags behind the counter while I went to my meeting but there was no one there and I didn’t have time to wait.

Grand Hotel, Whangarei
Okay for a one night stay. Right in town so easy to get around. The hotel is old so you get what you pay for. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good, so that was all that I wanted for the price.
