Watalgan State Forest

The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was average as its location was not the best. The breakfast area was dirty and more staff are needed to clean tables and provide utensils plates etc. Meals were below average but the service was great. Caters for families but not for adults without children on extended stays.

Breakfast buffet was great with a wide selection of food. Beach area was beautiful with lots of activities to do. Hamilton island is a great location to get to the whitehaven beach. Our hotel room was spacious and has stunning view of the bay. However, the room is showing its age and the bathroom smelled musty and window screen was torn and dirty. The bedroom floor was a bit sticky not sure what they use for cleaning so wear slippers. Birds were plenty and nice to see but can get aggressive with food around flying to tables for scraps. Overall outside of the minor issues, great place to vacation in.
