We LOVED our stay at Madera! There was construction in front of the hotel making it impossible to get near the hotel, and they met us at a different corner to take our car to valet! It’s a quiet hotel but loved that we could open the balcony door and just watch the city! The valet men were so nice and so were the front desk clerks! We will be back!

We enjoyed this hotel. The staff in the adjoining restaurant was phenomenal. The food was fantastic. The room was clean.

The property is situated in a nice area. It is very walkable. The room was nice and the front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. The room could use more lighting. There are about three lamps in the room I stayed in (2queen beds). There is not much overhead lighting. Overall, I would stay at the hotel again.

I didn’t like the idea that we have to pay for the parking. To me parking should be free for their guests. The fee is also expensive.

This location is fantastic and the staff is wonderful. We have chosen to stay here twice and it was a perfect location and experience both times.

Second time staying here and definitely not my last. It’s a perfect location in DuPont, walking distance to everything. Metro, tons of restaurants, shopping, and bars. The rooms are very spacious and let in a ton of sunlight with their huge windows. The only thing I’m still uneasy with is the bathrooms have a sliding door that doesn’t lock. So make sure you’re comfortable with whoever you’re staying with. Valet is convenient and love that they allow late checkout, just have to pay $25 for every extra hour you stay later, which is fine. Would highly recommend staying!

Bad Customer Support
The Hotel is a nice space, however, the front desk staff needs training. We had an issue with checking in and Mary told us that she spoke with her Manager and took care of it only to find that she had not. No care and concern for the customer. As a result, we pulled our group out of the Hotel and moved to the nearby Vignette Collection Yours Truly DC Hotel and had a very nice experience for the rest of the week.

A travelers delight! Every staff member at the hotel was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant and free bottled water were an added bonus on top of an already enchanting hotel. Moreover, the location was hard to beat as it was close to everything. We had a fab time- thanks so much!

Great stay!
Great location. Friendly service. Felt very safe and comfortable. At first we were sad not to have a room with a balcony, but quickly got over it when we saw the city view and extremely spacious room. Nicely decorated, with nice touches like water (still or sparkling) available in the hallway. There is a non-negotiable amenities fee, so use the amenities (Wi-Fi, coffee, happy hour). Restaurant/bar downstairs is very pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

Not up to snuff
This hotel is fine, in a good location with large rooms. However is it not a boutique hotel, and the vibe is spare rather than romantic. You are charged a resort fee PLUS a fee to check in early ($25 per hour) which I found crazy. The staff was hit or miss. No outlets in the bathroom, no extra blankets - it just wasn’t anything beyond a normal chain hotel.

I would like to share an end to end review. When I got to the hotel, the lobby is small, and very busy, even a little rowdy, but it was New year eve eve, to be expected! The check in was easy. There is a small gym 24/7 for guests. The rooms are the best part of this hotel. They are big, spacious, and comfy bed. The bath is also huge, with full size toiletries, and good thick towels. The offer room clean everyday and you can choose to do so or not. They also have small kettle and coffee and tea. And still or sparkling water fountain on each floor. My tv did not work one day and they fixed it. And I asked for some extra coffee and it was brought right away. My check out was great, easy, and very nice manager who was super friendly. Location is wonderful, and I would definitely go back! Again, the rooms are wonderful, which is the best part! Thank you!

Pretty room with a nice view and good location. Great breakfast at the Firefly restaurant. Disappointing to not have the bottle of wine in the room that was part of our booking and then waiting 2 hours for it to arrive. Also needed to go to another floor to get filtered water since the system was out on our floor.

Property renovated. Can seam a bit cheap because of vinyl flooring but brings peace of mind thinking about NO bed bugs since carpet seems to be more prone to them. Clean, spacious, great area and great staff! Would definitely stay again!
