Excellent breakfast. Beautiful lake view. Very convenient to board the ferry to the Isole Borromee. The extra money for a parking pass was well worth it. If you are there on a Saturday, the open market in Intra is about 10 minute drive away and it is big!

What a beautiful place !

We initially booked for one night, but decided to stay an extra night. We absolutely loved the place. Verbania is beautiful and has a certain grandeur to it. The hotel is beautiful and the service is great (Thank you Loredana !!!) We booked the second night with Lake view ... spectacular !!!

Despite the outward experience of a once grand hotel, this is at most a three star hotel. The interiors, furnishings and furniture (judging from our room and the public areas) all seemed a bit worn and inexpensive and the place could use a refresh. That said, the staff were all extremely nice and helpful.

Hotel is right at the waterfront, very convenient location tho there is no parking so one has to hunt for its own parking spot. Room is good size and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is good. Beach is exactly closely (about 10 min walk). It was raining the morning we were to check out so we did not get a chance to walk around town. From the little we saw the night before, I would stay there again.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location

Stayed at the Belvedere for 2 nights while visiting Lago Maggiore. The hotel is facing the lake and we had a beautiful lake view room. It is also soooo conveniently located right across from where the ferry takes you to the various islands. My Italian cousin was impressed with my choice. The hotel breakfast was excellent and lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

An absolutely fantastic stay, directly adjacent to the ferry terminal, with excellent views over the lake, and a great breakfast. I like that Verbania is less full of tourists than Stresa, but still has a wonderful waterfront, great restaurants, etc.

Pictures do not match the current state of the rooms available. Many rave reviews here - that seem greatly exaggerated as we did not have a great experience. It was 95 degrees outside, our air conditioning was between 75-78 at all times, even though we had it set to 64 it was never below 75. Price/quality not a match - overpriced for the state of the hotel rooms and what is available. The beach is 850 meters away - takes maybe 20 minutes in the summer as it's hot. Our special request written in the notes regarding accessibility was ignored and front desk staff said it was not received. If you have a special request, call them directly.
