A very nice hotel with unique touches, including a lovely courtyard garden, a large lobby/bar area with plenty of seating, and a pleasant all-purpose restaurant for breakfast, as well as casual evening dining. I have stayed at this beautiful Marriott in the past, and this time around I can only comment on the rooms. We did not avail ourselves of pool or restaurant, or any of the other activities available at the hotel this time. It was a quick stay, so I can say that at check in everything went smoothly. The staff we encountered throughout our stay, though few people, were all very courteous and eager to help. The room we stayed in was very clean, quiet, and had all the comforts one could expect from a well appointed guest room. We asked for extra pillows which were promptly delivered within a few minutes. We enjoy this location when in Ventura for the proximity to a beautiful beach, walking distance to Seaward Village with all the restaurants and shops available there, and short drive to Ventura Harbor as well as to Downtown Ventura and Main Street activities. When it’s a quick weekend away, this is a superb place to stay!
