"The Protea Hotel Tyger Valley was Magical. In the perfect location with breathless views of the entire city of Cape Town including the beautiful Table Mountains. The hotel room was exceptionally clean and neat with everything one needs soft cozy beds and the best sheets silky and soft. "I only stayed one night but I will definitely return for longer stays. The owner-manager could not have been kinder or more helpful as I was there for doctors' office visits at the Panorama Medicentre, a short walkable 1 km away. The bed and one bedroom suite were the most comfortable I have stayed in for quite sometime. The breakfast (included) was homemade eggs, bacon, toast and they even had decaf coffee for me. I love Paperbark Manor and will come again."

"Truly a peaceful ‘gem’ with stunning courtyards and gardens. Very safe with 24/7 security. The theme rooms with private baths were stellar and well appointed, absolutely spotless. The kitchen and common areas were well stocked with everything you possibly could need to prepare meals. Dele the owner, brother in law Fernando, and John the housekeeper were so kind and friendly, all fantastic chefs. They made my stay at this ‘guest home’ an experience I shall never forget. "
