Very nice onsen hotel. Great with free bus to the town, if you don't want to walk. Good buffet for breakfast and dinner. Good size rooms. Free drinks from 14:00-22:00 including beer and sake. The onsen was also very good.
Property located about 15 min walk from the main Onsen strip but it provides shuttle service to the strip every half hour. Rooms are large and very nice. Most notable is their buffet dinner and breakfast is excellent with various delicacies almost comparable to high end restaurant but with so much more variety.
The new indoor and outdoor hot spring pools are good. They also provided snacks and drinks in the rest area, which was very helpful after the hot spring bath. The river view and massage chair in the rest area were great.
The room was great! Clean and big with lovely view. It included a private closed off toilet and sink and then you use the public onsen (hot spring bath) facilities for showering and bathing. The bath facilities were indeed really nice. They lend you a Yukata (kind of kimono) to wear to and from the bath and to other bath facilities in town. Free coffee and alcoholic drinks in the lounge!!! Really nice buffet dinner and breakfast included. We enjoyed the 5 other Onsens that we could visit in the town which was a very short walk away. The town had great cafes and gift shops. We walked up behind the town to a really great viewing tower that allowed you views of the spectacular landscape. We will return to this chain of hotels in other towns. Because of all the perks, it is definitely worth the cost. Staff nice too!
Enjoyable place to stay. Spa was nice though it was closed the hour before check out, so it was not super convenient. We couldn’t get double beds in the room, which was not ideal for a honeymoon. Still had a good time.
This hotel was not in the center of town but did have a shuttle. The buffet breakfast and dinner was delicious. The onsen (hot bath) was superb. They also provided a pass to use the 7 mystic onsens in town. We were provided yukatas to stroll around. Amenities were wonderful.
Their own onsen on the main level is amazing. It includes a steam room, dry sauna and outdoor pools. I loved the free beverage station which included Sake. The hotel is within walking distance to the other 7 onsens, but they also offer a free shuttle bus that will drop you off right in town.
The room is comfy and clean. Staff are nice and helpful. There are lots of food choices in the breakfast and dinner buffets. The food is good. There are sufficient parking lots in the hotel. The in-house onsen is great. Pass for all seven public onsen in Kinosaki for the whole period of stay in the hotel is also included, so you can enjoy the public onsen without paying extra fees.
Loved the vibe of this hotel. Relaxed, family oriented, and leisure based. The onsen is as good as any of the ones in town, and then it has a drink and food bar right outside. Fantastic. The town is also great. The only issue we had was finding out how to get the bus back, but this is because of our lack of language comprehension. If you dont speak Japanese, maybe be prepared to walk back, which only takes 15 minutes but is hard in the wooden shoes.
This was a family trip. We had an amazing stay at Oedo. Our room had a perfect view of the river. The onsen was clean and relaxing. However, our baby threw up on our bed and required us to replace the sheets and pillow. We were charged for the new sheets and pillow, but staff never collected the dirty sheets. So we placed them in the entry way. That was the only problem we had with service. We wish they collected the dirty sheets.
The hotel is located in 15 minutes wlking distance to the center. If you want to walk there you have to walk on the main road with lots of traffic due to a big construction site. I paid 300 USD for one night and the room had no shower, the toilet was an ugly little plastic cabin, the personel does not speak English. At 9am a 10 minute ultra loud loud speaker announcement woke me up. I did not get any breakfast anymore at 9:15 am, although it is served until 9:30am. It would all be ok, but not for this price. Choose another hotel in the center if you can.
Great resort off the busy high street only a 10 minute walk to the center of town. There were always shoes and robes with baskets. Appreciated that staff were really helpful in assisting for check in and check out. Loved the options at the buffet. Only thing I found interesting was that I was not allowed in the hotels onsen as I had a few big tattoo's but the towns onsens itself was known for and allowed tattoo's. Would of been nice to visit their onsen.
Love the size is the hotel, not too big, not too small. Food was great and the hotel was clean with very friendly staff! It made for a real relaxing stay.
Easy parking, great Onsen with outdoor ones; yet the food at buffet is really average, recommend to have less variety of food yet with better quality

The buffet meals at this hotel were really bad. The location is not convenient to Kinosaki town. None of the staff speak any English and their translation in print materials comes off very abrupt. I would not recommend.
Had to pay a fee for an extra towel. Not sure if it’s common, but haven’t come across that before.

Where is the Crab?
Kinosaki is famous for its crab. Everywhere you go they serve crabs, however, during my two days stay in this hotel, I have never seen a hint of crab. Dining area is huge and has close to 1000 seatings and therefore very very busy. Children were running around, and the hotel is not the place for the one who expect cozy onsen atmosphere. Shrimps at sashimi corner were tiny and smelly. I have never seen such a tiny pieces of sashimi at other place in Japan. Moreover, Huge bridge construction blocks all the access to the hotel. Walking around the hotel is not safe because of road blockage. The hotel is virtually isolated from the main Kinosaki Onsen area. Shuttle service from and two the train station was very limited and always crowded a small van. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
