My room was in good shape. The remote did not work very well on the TV unless I stood right in front of it to change the channel. The building is close to the highway so there was alot of noise around the entire building. The area around the building was a little sketchy but I did not experience any issues during my stay. There was alot of activity in the hallways a couple of nights that did concern me but things settled down around midnight during the weekend.

Awesome!

My room was clean, spacious, economical, allowed dogs, and best of all the bed was SO comfortable!! Hopefully all locations are consistent because Im driving from CO to FL and I want to stay in other Candlewoids along the way 🙂

I wish I got the managers name but she was amazing. I did two bookings to stay for my mother’s funeral. I was not thinking clearly and did two separate bookings. I booked a double bed the first night and single the second night. So I didn’t have to worry about checking out and checking back in around my mother’s funeral the manager made sure we could stay in the same room all weekend. I really appreciate her making a hard time easier.

Staff were extremely nice and helpful - top notch front desk. Hotel is old, rundown and needs to be renovated. When repairs were done they were poor. Loose fixtures, holes in walls that were repaired were shoddy. Beds uncomfortable. Back door left propped open. Didn’t feel safe. Booked 2 nights but left after 1.

This property was fine for what we needed, but it wasn’t great. We were in Topeka for a week and a half while we put my father in law in a hospice facility from the local hospital. This place was a good price and had a kitchenette which was convenient for a long stay. However it was not clean, the walls and carpets are in disrepair with bad patch jobs. The fourth floor hallway smelled SO BAD we almost gagged and would only use the stairs in the far side of the hallway away from the elevator when possible. Our room - which this is an extended stay hotel - only had one small dresser 2 ft wide with 3 drawers so not adequate storage for clothing for a week or more. The fridge seal was broken and did not close all the way. Towels had stains. There was an old chip bag under my bed that was never cleaned. Staff was friendly when they were around but were not often seen. The laundry was free if you had your own supplies which was nice but the machines were old and they didn’t all work. It was also always messy and was not cleaned often. There are a lot of workers who use this hotel, lots of utility vehicles and trucks. I was there with my husband and if i went down to the gym, or the car or the laundry alone they were always leering and would follow me from room to room and they to hit on me. To the end of the stay i refused to go down stairs alone without my husband. Over all it was fine for what we needed, a budget friendly place to stay near the hospital.
