I did like the hotel's proximity to transportation options like Shin Okubo station, Higashi-Shinjuku, Seibu-Shinjuku, Shinjuku. All of these were within a reasonable walking distance. The restaurant's breakfast was convenient and filling.

Property was good, the front desk was great and helpful also…sometimes they didn’t seem very friendly but overall it was fine…lots of restaurants and food nearby

Rude and unhelpful reception, had a 24 hr journey to the hotel and they charged us for both rooms to enter 1 hour earlier ,even though the rooms were ready ! Disgusted to say the least.

Very central location in Shinjuku. Multiple stations are only a short walk away which is very convenient. The area is very busy but also very safe to walk around at any time of day/night. The hotel check in process was very easy and straightforward. The staff were helpful and speak both Japanese and English. The room was very comfortable and clean. My partner and I only used the room to sleep and the rest of the time we were out exploring. The rooms are very small but it was perfect for what we wanted.

It’s great for what it is, clean and safe with lots of outlets in the room and the usual amenities except for lotion. But there are are three washing machines for this large hotel and the dryers dry much more slowly than the washers wash so there is always a very long wait and night. The staff are not quite as energetic and friendly as at some other APA properties, which I attribute to how very busy the hotel is. They are not unfriendly, just working hard and probably at times tired. Anyway I would really recommend the hotel for its proximity to multiple train stations and to Okubo and Kabukicho.

The hotel itself came with a lot for the great price! Hot bath and all necessities, which were available daily. There was some confusion at check in, as it was self served, but expedia booking/reference numbers did not work at the kiosk. Which took a little bit of figuring out with the staff. After trying all the numbers and typing in passport info multiple times. Needed to ask staff to look up what they have as your reference number before it would work on the kiosk. Check out was easy!

Located in the heart of the entertainment district, with a diverse selection of things to do, see and eat! Easily walkable to alot of different areas. Vibrant location with alot of bars, pubs restaurants and hostess bars. If you're looking for a quiet hotel then this is not the one for you. Rooms are small and if you have large baggage it will be difficult to store. All in all a good location for nightlife activities!

Rooms were reasonable sized and the layout was very efficient. We have no problems staying here again. Only issue would be the lack of control between AC and heat. One night the building was set to heat mode and we couldn't utilize our AC which made the night quite uncomfortable.

I’m a big fan of APA Hotels. They’re very well thought out, and they are everywhere. Some of the amenities require that you pay some attention to figure out how they work, but once you do, it all makes a lot of sense. The rooms have tons of useful labels, so if you have questions, start by reading the labels. They answer a good chunk of the questions you might have.

Rooms are really small. Even for two people.

Thank you for staying at APA Hotel Higashi-Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower. The rooms are usually compact and can be used entirely on the bed. We also have twin rooms with more luxurious decor and two beds, so please try them next time you stay with us. Last but not least, we all look forward to welcoming you again!
