This hotel (or at least the room they gave me) was in terrible shape. The paint was peeling, the sink and bathtub were chipped and nasty and the hallways were grungy. The lobby was nice, the staff were nice and the breakfast was great. Too bad the rest of it was so bad.

We stayed at Ramada by Wyndham Thunder Bay for one night while passing through with our family on our way to Alberta. The hotel is simple and nothing fancy, but it was comfortable, and it served its purpose as a convenient stop for the night. The check-in was smooth. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Overall a decent stay. The exterior was a little run down, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The cold shower in the morning due to lack of hot water makes a positive review not possible though.

The staff were lovely at check in. The breakfast was okay. That’s why there are two stars. The rooms are old and dated, the windows could do with a clean. The beds were comfy enough and clean but extremely loud with movement. The AC in the room was broken, it was hot. No working fan in the bathroom. No working ice machines on any of the 3 floors we checked. We would have tried to switch rooms but we checked in late after a long day of driving from Manitoba. Definitely not worth the over $250 we spent on the room.

Traveling as a family of six, the room was able to sleep everyone despite the fact that we couldn't get the pull-out bed open (our smaller kids slept on couches and chairs). It was disappointing to find that the pool was closed, and seemed to have been for months, if not years. We had booked this place specifically because it said that it had a pool, so our kids could burn off steam after a long day of driving. The full breakfast was good, with lots of options, so everyone ate well.

While our room was clean, there were deep stains on various furniture/walls from previous customers. There was no AC or fans, those would make customers more comfier on hot summer days. Having the pool open would allow a more enjoyable stay from customers with kids, again for the really hot summer days. Having both in AND out abilities on ALL the doors would be a plus. BUT the staff were really friendly, helpful, the food ood was great, parking was excellent. Overall it was good, we would stay there again.

The breakfast was hot and soooo good. We thought you went above and beyond for breakfast and the choices on the table there. Was great to even pick up breakfast to bring to the room so my husband didn’t have to try and walk there. Would stay there again and wholeheartedly recommend

We stayed for two nights at this location. The room itself was clean. The hallways needed vacuuming. The staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet which was included was adequate. The property needs some updating. Sound proofing is lacking.
