The value for the property is excellent. The location is quite nice and very quiet. If you are looking for something in the middle of the action, this isn’t for you.
Gorgeous Chateau in a location very convenient for visiting the Normandy Beaches. Beautiful location, very spacious, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Made to feel very welcome by the owners & would highly recommend.
This was our first night of 12 days France trip. It was a disastourous start.
In spite of pre-paid booking and re-confirmation with the Orbitz customer service 4 days prior to our departure. On arrival at the Hotel gate we were informed that our reservation has been cancelled and no room is available. After traveling for more than 30 hours and at 18:00hrs in remote town in France there was no place for us to go.
I had to make an expensive international call to Orbitz customer service.
After spending 30 minutes on phone with customer service. The owner/manager came back and offered place to sleep for night in the family guest room.
Next morning during the Breakfast we figured out that due to another larger group manager decided to give our confirmed room to some other party.
Orbitz should take action against this property and we should be appropriately compensated.
We had a lovely stay at this little castle. The grounds are very pleasant, the owners are friendly and the breakfast was nice. The location is convenient to Bayeux, yet feels very rustic and peaceful. Our kids enjoyed the grounds and the knights that decorate the chateau. The owner competes in knight games and there are medieval games that are held at the chateau — makes this an interesting place to stay and learn the history of the area!
Xavier owns a XVth century castles that is very nicely maintained. Very nice and friendly people, they served us a wonderful dinner and the breakfast was just delicious.
The room was very comfortable and the surroundings is just amazing.
We enjoyed a three night stay at this charming chateau in the quiet Normandy countryside within a 20 minute journey of the lovely city of Bayeaux. The chateau is delightful and full charm, with a wonderful period theme of medieval knights.
Our room which was on the first floor faced onto the rear of the property and the countryside beyond. The room was tastefully decorated with period furniture and a very comfortable bed. The room had all the amenities expected with the exception of television, but to be honest this allowed us to listen to all the wildlife and enjoy the sunset without the intrusion of the 21st century so was welcome. The room was spotlessly clean.
We enjoyed a very tasty and satisfying continental breakfast each morning of our stay. We found our hosts very charming and helpful and enjoyed our stay.
