"Great and wonderful owner. He seems so kind and take care of us very well. He has upgraded my room booked upstairs to downstairs. It looks vey convenient for us the elders and I feel like home so happy and so warm. I will recommend this lodge to my friends if they want to stay in Christchurch."

"Fantastic stay. Fire alarm went off early and a neighbour banged on our door like a nutter and accused us of setting the alarm off. We were all asleep at the time. Firemen told us somebody burnt their toast in a building next door. "

"We stayed for a night before leaving New Zealand in a two-bedroom with 4 really nice and comfortable beds. Very friendly owner. Free WiFi. Slightly old bathroom and living room, but very comfy beds with warm electric blankets in every bed. Cabinet full of dishes and glasses makes it convenient to eat in the living room/dining room area. "Nice, tidy room with a great shower and super comfy bed. A prefect room for us. Really handy for walking into central Christchurch and very close to great food outlets, the Tram ride and the Catheral Square. Off street parking and very easy to find. I appreciated the extra cleaning done and the friendly staff. "

"Easy 10-minute walk into the centre of the city. Large room, comfortable bed, all the amenities you need (except decaf coffee - I brought my own). Having the sky guest select service was a nice bonus. Affordable and comfortable."

"Room was excellent, clean and very quiet. Amenities were great. Staff was helpful and as an Expedia silver guest a full sized bottle of wine was provided. The hotel is within walking distance of shopping areas and eateries. The river is not far as well as the botanical gardens. Loved on site parking as we did not need our vehicle while staying. Would highly recommend for a stay in Christchurch. "
