The property itself is beautiful and wonderfully positioned. Safe and central, walking distance to attractions, cafes and restaurants. The property lets itself down by poor restaurant/bar/breakfast service. The Staff seem disorganised and are not attentive to the needs of customers. They are not seating customers, not returning to take orders, are unclear of who ordered what. I feel that the supervisor needs additional training in order to ensure the team runs efficiently. I could go on, however, I feel that overall it was disappointing on a number of issues.
I stay at a lot of nice hotels and this is definitely uniquely nice. The design, vibe, personnel, location, breakfast. I stayed in the suite on the second floor (eerste verdieping). I suggest taking out this added brown 'wall' that blocks the view as you enter. It makes the room so much less attractive. That said, this will be my go to hotel next time I come to The Hague
Everything about this hotel was 5 stars! The building is absolutely beautiful and grand, from the lobby and restaurant down to the sinks in the rooms. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We mentioned on our reservation that it was our anniversary and the staff reserved a romantic dinner by candlelight and included a dessert and stuffed animal complimentary. The location is amazing as well. You are steps away from Escher in the Palace and a 3 minute walk to Mauritshuis. We only stayed for 2 nights but we wished we could have stayed longer!
Overall, this is a beautiful and comfortable hotel with a long history. It is perfect for a short stay like a couple of days. It has a central location next to a small street filled with restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast offers a good selection.
However, one incident slightly dampened the experience. During breakfast, I was served an omelet meant for another guest. Probably because of this, the staff had a loud argument in the kitchen, which could be heard throughout the breakfast hall. It makes the atmosphere a bit awkward...
Voor ons het beste hotel in Den Haag - geweldige service, ruime, nette en sfeervolle kamer voorzien van alle gemakken en een uitmuntend restaurant. We komen zeker terug!
I asked an AI program to create an itinerary for a trip to the Netherlands. Hotel des Indes was the hotel the program picked for The Hague. The hotel was lovely. We had a wonderful room with a great view of the surroundings. The staff was very accommodating. I would absolutely suggest this hotel for a stay in The Hague.
