I cannot recommend this hotel enough. My friend left his wallet back at the hotel and they were very helpful in locating it and mailing it to his forwarding address. I must mention Renko in the staff who was instrumental in finding the wallet, thank you so much.
The hotel itself is great, very helpful staff, amazing onsen and nice facilities. Also very close to Asahidake for those who want to hike or ski in the winter.

Excellent atmosphere and buffet - the international buffet was of reasonable standard. The hotel made an effort to create a positive atmosphere by including activities such as free shuttle to an outdoor lighting exhibition - it was an added bonus when my friend and I saw a family of wild deers at the location! The hotel also provided a bingo activity where all visitors can join. Most, if not all, participants will win gift!
Another added benefit is the free shuttle service to its sister...

Nice hotel very close to the Mount Akadake cable car. Location is gorgeous, in the Sounkyo gorge area. The onsens look out onto the mountains and offer a spectacular view.
The hotel itself is nice - albeit a bit tired and old. Could do with some modernisation - but helpful and friendly staff and gorgeous location make up for it.

Exellent dinner buffet! Free shuttles (reserved) from Asahikawa and to Biei were very convenient. 3 mins walk to the famous Shirogane Bridge for great views. We didn't go to the Blue Pond due to transport logistics and lots of flying insects. Free water bottles and japanese sweets in room. Rooms were nice and clean. The only problem was our 2 rooms didn't have airconditioning, or rather, the central airconditioning is not effective at all. It was too hot to sleep for our 1 night stay in August...

The hotel facility very good but you need car to travel there, close to waterfall (just behind the hotel) and then if you want to go to mountain and spa it is very easy to access from there. On the way down to Biei, you also can visit the blue pond too
