We had a fabulous three nights at Clearwater. We loved being right beside the lake and had a beautiful panoramic view from our unit. The setting was very restful - just what we needed. The Clearwater staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and in-room spa were great. (Fantastic pressure in the shower!) The motor lodge is only a quick drive (or a nice walk) into town for coffee, shopping, activities and takeaway meals, and we also went down to Rainbow Point for some fantastic fish ‘n’ chips one evening. We booked a two-hour fishing trip with Marty and Stratus and caught six trout, which we had smoked at the local butcher - a brilliant way to end our holiday. Thank you, Clearwater! We’ll be back asap.

Not your average motel room!

A last minute booking during a very busy week in Taupo. Right on the lake front, a large spacious room. Super clean, comfy bed and good shower! Also a large comfy couch. Will stay again.

We had a beach front room and it was lovely and clean. Had a good number of towels and was a very relaxing space. The spa in the room was great too, although you are asked not to use the jets in the spa after 10pm and you can't use it at all after 11pm, which doesn't suit when you come back from a dinner or function. The parking lot is not suited to larger vehicles and onstreet parking is very limited. There were no hidden costs or holds, so it was great to stay at a place that you only paid what was listed.

Adele was amazing. Thanks. The spa needs some attention. As it did not turn off, it sounded like it was filling up then leaking noises somewhere. It turned off around 7.00 in the morning. Also, maybe a few more pods for the coffee maker.

We arrived to a lovely warm room (thermally heated) which is good in winter. Well set up, comfortable bed and spa bath. View over the lake was what I wanted. We'll appointed. Stepped out of the property onto the lakeside walkway.

Magnifique chambre avec balcon sur le bord du lac Taupo. Nous avons adoré. Vue incroyable du lac avec piste de marche et cyclable. Baignade dans l’eau chaude du lac. Lits confortables, cuisine bien équipée et belle salle de bain et jacuzzi inclus. Tout était parfait. Restaurants tout près.
