Being next to main road a lot of road noise. A refrigerated truck parked outside unit around 6am with generator running waking us up.

Super comfortable bed! Parking very tight to get into, kitchen garbage had not been cleaned and when we put the clean room sign up in the morning the card was removed and room not cleaned so had to smell the previous guest garbage for another day; otherwise a nice place to stay.

The property was in great location, walking distance to restaurants and beaches. The check-in was very easy and friendly. We called ahead to have an extra bed in the 2-bedroom apartment and it was there when we arrived. For 5 people (3 adult kids and parents) it was a little tight but it was nice to have two bathrooms and the main bedroom was large! The bathrooms were well equipped with toiletries etc…. Very nice and will highly recommend to those staying in Coromandel!

Very nicely appointed unit just been renovated but the shower let it down. No pressure at all and only ran steaming hot.

Hosts friendly and most obliging…pleasant shrubbery surrounding villas…some with tranquil harbour views. Accommodation clean & comfortable. Wouldn’t hesitate to return, we had a lovely stay.

Great stay, although the twin beds were single size and little bit short. My husband's bed dipped in the middle. Your website didn't mention dogs can stay. We could have brought our dog on the trip. Lovely setting. Would stay there again.

Matteress is quiet old. Cannot sleep on it. And the internet access is quiet restricted. Overall the property is very lovely but whats the point if you cannot have a good night sleep after a long trip?

Sehr gemütliche Villas in Top-Lage
Es sind sehr angenehme Bungalows mit toller Aussicht und sehr gut gelegen... Viele Restaurants sind unmittelbar beim Hotel! Auch sehr nettes und hilfreiches Empfangspersonal...

Hübsche Bungalows in guter Lage
Die Villas sind gut gelegen, Tairua ist recht nah an Sehenswürdigkeiten der Coromandel Halbinsel, wie dem Hot Water Beach (ca. 20 min) und der Catherdral Cove (ca. 30 min). An der Rezeption kann man sich für 5€ eine Schaufel (empfohlen für den Hot Water Beach) und Handtücher ausleihen. Sie haben sogar einen Grill, den man gerne benutzen kann. Auch Pappteller, Salz, Öl etc. Stellen sie einem bereit. Das Personal war auch immer sehr nett und bemüht. Die Bungalows sind sehr süß aber etwas nach beieinander. Parkplätze befinden sich vor jeder Tür. Ich kann die Pacific Harbour Villas auf jedem Fall empfehlen :)

Compact does not equal comfortable
This hotel room was very cramped and small and while it was the peak period for the price it was extremely disappointing. To be given one of the smallest rooms within the complex without off-street parking in front of the room, with a thunderstorm in progress, was not the best welcome. The room was dated and the free wifi was limited to 300mb at a time (we were given 3x300mb). This made us feel less on holiday than if we'd booked a room above the local pub at a substantially lesser price. The bathroom was less than perfect with intermittent water pressure with frequently changing temperature. Kitchenette facilities were not used and they made it clear that if you did cook a spicy meal you would be charged an extra charge (exorbitant) for additional cleaning. Boiling the jug and using the coffee plunger was all that we used and even that turned out to be a most unpleasant experience with the coffee tasted like plastic. There was only one spot to put a suitcase, very little floorspace for anything else and no ironing board or iron in the room.

Thank you for your review. Its a shame you didnt have a good experience. Our guests are most happy with our complex and most don't want to leave. We have the best coffee that we can buy for our hotel and Im sorry that you booked a smaller room than you probably wanted. The reason why we ask that no soicy foods are cooked in room is because the next guests most often do not wish to have the lingering cooking smell. We do need to do our best for a diverse amount of perople and as it is our busiest time the township is overloaded with lack of wifi and we did explain that to you and you were more than welcome to use the business centre. Perhaps you booked the incorrect room for your stay and if you come back to us, a stand alone villa would suit you better. Even a beautiful waterfront villa would be lovely. We are sorry you didnt enjoy your stay. Sue Manager

Not great - dissapointing
This hotel relies heavily on its location and resort style layout to make it an appealing place to stay and whilst this is really great the rest is a let down. At nearly $200 per night, it was a disappointment. The overall condition of the interior is very dated. The beds are old and have seen better days, the shower was a pathetic drizzle that hardly gets you wet and every dish we used we had to wash first as it was grubby from the previous guests use. Also there is no sky tv at all and the Freeview channels consisted of a grand total of 4 ! WiFi is also practically non existent. Just pathetic for a hotel with a supposedly 4 star rating. We had the spa room, which whilst lovely to enjoy, once you fill it to the minimum required to operate the jets, you have no hot water left for anything else. The list goes on with silly little laminated signs telling you what you can’t do and can’t use. This property is under new management and whilst they do supply a friendly and helpful manner when checking in (although tried to put the price up even though already booked online) the hotels condition and out of date facilities let’s it down. Would not stay again until it had an upgrade. Not worth the money charged and definitely not a 4 star property.

Nice hotel close to beach, shops, cafes, bars.
Friendly staff. Great room & facilities. Modern Heat/cool pump in room. Walking distance to cafes, restaurants & bars. (Highly recommend the Manaia cafe/restaurant & bar). Playground & park across the road. Safe shallow beach. Perfect location.

Good Spot
Older unit in good general condition. Modern TV and heat pump so nice and warm. Great location amazingly quiet considering it's in the centre of town. Friendly managers with good local knowledge.

Best hotel in Tairua
The property is in the centre of the main street, with water views on one side, comprising of standalone units (small chalets). Be prepared for a warm friendly welcome from the Managers, and the same friendly exchange whenever they see you! Each unit is private, nicely positioned with carpark, and has a small deck with a couple of deck chairs and table. Enter inside to a kitchen with full stove, generous size room with dining table, lounge chair and double bed (or 1 singles), and a separate shower/toilet area. Its very comfortable, very clean and rustic. A great base for any holiday or activity. Free WiFi!

Our room was the very standard one which didn't have a good ventilation. Don't opt for these basic rooms. Otherwise property is good and located well with a good staff who are very welcoming and nice.

Nice place in a pinch!!! Close to restaurants
Close to shops and. Restaurants next to info centre .helpful staff...drove us to Pauanui ferry the next day .small room no view but served our purpose and available at short notice....

Not much of privacy, room that we stayed in, was attached to next door, could hear reception staff, neighbors so not very good.
