"We arrived at 2:15PM and could check-in for a $20 fee so we left. Once we returned, the room my parents were given was still being cleaned. The kind cleaning people called and had their room changed to the room next door. A little weird but not the end of the year. The rooms are super dark but it was clean and spacious. Feels like the rooms may have been updated in the last few years."

"Contrary to many reviewers I found the place to be very clean, quiet and comfortable. It's a great deal.. It is not a new hotel but the room was very nice. Beds super comfortable and very nice sheets. Highly recommend this motel!!"

"We travel to the northern lower peninsula and UP at least once a year. This is the best place we have found to stay by far for the price. The front desk staff were very helpful and so nice. (We did find the gentleman who ran the breakfast and did some things outside to be kind of gruff.) The rooms were very clean and updated. We loved the smores on Lake Huron overlooking the bridge. Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely be back!"
