The hotel location was perfect, close to transit, restaurants and shops in a great area and the breakfast buffet was very extensive. The room and bathroom were comfortable and well equipped, but no opening windows. We would definitely stay again.

Just a few steps from the Metro entrance and surrounded by a bevy of restaurants. Safe area with lots of foot traffic. Excellent breakfasts with fantastic staff. Careful with upgrades before the visit…you probably won’t need them. Overall a great experience

Excellent Breakfast - list of options and great omelette station. Would book again just for the breakfast. Otherwise standard hotel. Rooms rather small and compact. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is just above the metro station and very convenient to reach the main tourist spots.

Overall hotel was great and in good location. It was in September and temperatures were in the 70s. Apparently the hotel had turned the AC off in the rooms for the season, so the room was very warm.

Great location, friendly staff. Room needed a re-hoover after check-in, this was done quickly after being requested. Feedback for the restaurant is that the high chairs should be kept cleaner, they were always dirty. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection.

The two-hour open breakfast window is too brief for the number of guests they serve each morning. The spa facility is small, not very clean, and usually overbooked due to its limited hours and the high number of hotel guests. Brenda, the massage therapist, is excellent and highly recommended! The gym is small. The hotel staff is too busy attending to the numerous conventions they are hosting. Overall, it's too expensive considering the condition of the property, the service, and the cleaning.

Can get from hotel room to t-central station in under 20 minutes. Great location, hotel is well sign posted at Skanstull station. All staff I encountered were friendly and polite. Supermarket a 2 minute walk away if you need supplies. Room was clean and tidy, a/c was fabulous however the bathroom could do with an update and the shower isn't that great but that wouldn't put me off staying here again as the overall stay was excellent. Liked the fact there was a large bath. Breakfast choices were very good and there is something for everyone. Loads of seating which makes a change as with other hotels you end up fighting for a table. Didn't have time to use the spa or facilities and didn't eat in Nor.

Disappointing Stay Despite Modern Look.

Originally it looked good by service and readiness to help extremely poor. The hotel appears modern and well-equipped at first glance, but our family stay was ruined by poor service, lack of solutions, and basic issues that should not happen in a hotel of this standard. I travel extensively (more than 20 hotels in last 12 months), and this was unfortunately one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Good Things: • Modern design and lobby area with some games • Spacious hotel with decent views Bad Things: • Booked a three-bed room but only two beds provided; repeated requests ignored (mail and verbal) • Staff promised a third bed already arranged when not there. Then provided a sub quality foldable bed. • Air conditioning noisy and blowing cold air, causing health issues; they only offered a small heater as a “solution” if you get cold easily or have air conditioning issue don’t stay here, you cannot turn it off. • Reception unresponsive by phone—called via hotel phone, no reply, called via mobile phone, no reply. So I had to physically go down to get help. Excuse they were busy with customers, when at night, no customer there and during an extended period. • Shower gel/shampoo ripped off wall and left on the floor (see picture) • Lobby tables left dirty with spilled drinks (unfortunately didn’t take picture). Unacceptable for a hotel of that standard • Breakfast poorly organized: dirty windows, no cutlery, self-service only, no staff attention.

Clarion Hotel OK

The first thing to say about the Clarion is that it is very easy to find. The Arlanda train from the airport to Central, then change to the T-bana (Metro) green line to Skanstull. If you follow the exit to the Blood donation centre (!), the hotel can be seen as you come up the steps. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and I got some good tips for travel that saved me ££. The breakfast is excellent, but it seemed to be very busy at odd times and I noticed that the room check on entry only happened on two of the five days I was there. On my first day, I was asked to go down at 9:30 as it was busy before then, but it took me ten minutes to get a table, so I just went down at random times on other days with no further issue. There seemed to be a lot of other things going on - a Pride Party while I was there - meaning the hotel seemed overly busy and noisy at times. Sadly, though, I was unimpressed with the room. A little over 6ft at its widest, this was called a Compact Double with a bed solidly against the window. I'm a solo traveller and I keep getting these 'doubles' that absolutely no couple would ever stay in. I'm a Widower, not a 2nd class citizen, but this happens all over Europe, sadly. The rooms have very heavy, very squeaky doors, which will wake you if someone is leaving at 5am; otherwise, there was no noise. Loved Stockholm, so I feel positive about my stay, but the Clarion might be better concentrating on its room guests to be better than average.
The 'Compact double' with bed against the window / wall. If I'd not been solo I'd never have accepted it.
No storage, just hangars. Fortunately, Stockholm has so much going on I only needed to sleep here.
