I do not like public negative reviews — I prefer direct contact with the hotel over issues of concern. But two attempts to talk to the Manager have failed, and so I am forced to turn to this forum at the recommendation of Hotels.com.
I was so excited for this stay because I grew up in this area and know the location is perfect! Unfortunately, and I am hoping this was an unusual circumstance for the hotel, our room was in great disrepair. We photographed the bathroom, so shocked were we at the state of disrepair and grime and mold. We were shocked.
We had meetings the next day in NYC, and when we returned at 4, found our room had not been cleaned. When we called the front desk, no apology or explanation was offered, just a question if we needed more towels (ours were all in the bathtub, used, awaiting cleaning...).
We stay at hundreds of hotels for work and travel, and this experience was unique. The state of the bathroom; absence of room cleaning; and the lack of help from the Manager are all red flags.
I am hoping this review serves to either warn future guests or alert the Manager into a response/explanation.
