Lovely place!

We had a lovely stay here- the place is lovely, very quiet and beautiful. The staff was very helpful and nice and the rooms very cozy and clean. We will definitely come back!

Our stay at Borgo della Marmotta was amazing. The staff across the hotel were incredibly welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent and affordable, and the property and rooms were tastefully decorated and kept spotless. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Renting a car is highly advisable, as transport links are poor and hard to navigate.

Loved this place! So peaceful and relaxing, yet still within driving distance to nearby towns and great excursions. Federico and Abigail were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was light but fresh and healthy—croissants, homemade fruit cakes, fresh juices, a variety of coffees, even some homemade cheese. We especially appreciated the "honesty bar" with its nice selection of wines. We enjoyed a few glasses out on the terrace and in the cozy living room. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing getaway with thoughtful hosts.

Quiet countryside property. The rooms were nicely appointed but the walls are thin and you could clearly hear the people on the other side. We made sure we spoke quietly so we wouldn’t disturb any of the other rooms but unfortunately that was not reciprocated. A nice spot convenient to some beautiful Umbrian towns. You definitely need a car to stay here.

Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig und idyllisch auf einem großen, gepflegten Grundstück – ideal zum Entspannen. Der Empfang war ausgesprochen herzlich, und wir wurden gleich mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps zur Umgebung versorgt. Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich, sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Insgesamt ein rundum angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Wat een betoverend verblijf. Perfecte sfeer en aan alles is gedacht. Veel te doen in omgeving, maar dagje aan het zwembad is ok heerlijk. Fijn dat er een koelkastje is om z3lf spullen te koelen, maar drankjes zijn tegen schappelijke prijs ook gewoon verkrijgbaar op locatie. Echt heel mooie locatie.

Amazing but sort out reception

Amazing hotel, amazing food, great location and gardens / pool area. Restaurant was top notch & waiters very friendly. Service was excellent. Self-service bar was great. Air conditioning good. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing time away with great food. Our only problem was with reception - there was a very nice lady who checked us in but then a pretty useless guy (I think he was called Federico). It wasn't clear if he actually worked at the hotel or not, he spent most of the day sitting on the guest's sofa watching tiktok, didn't clear up any of the glasses and on our last day, he turned up over 30 mins late to work which meant that we couldn't check out properly and had to rush to the airport

Absolutely beautiful and serene setting in nature. Relaxation begins as your greeted by the friendly staff. The accommodations are clean, quiet and comfortable. We really loved The grounds with sparkling pool, expansive lawns, trees, gardens, and flowers of soothing jasmine. Hard to leave, but we will be back. Nous avons été très surpris de voir qu'Hôtel.com avait transmis une résa pour 1 personne seulement, alors que nous sommes toujours 2. De +, la résa n'était pas conforme à notre demande : nous voulions un appart avec kitchenette et vous aviez réservé une chambre classique. Je n'ai eu aucune réponse à ma 1ère réaction immédiate : en sera-t-il de même now?

Agriturismo without the agri part.

Agriturismo that isn’t luxurious but comfortable. I asked for the remote to be fixed and they never followed through. The pool area was large and beautiful. I wouldn’t rush back but it was fine for the few days we were there. It’s not a real farm. Service at breakfast was excellent.

Umbrian delight

Lovely, peaceful sanctuary perfectly located close to Spoleto, Trevi and Montefalco. The rooms are well designed and furnished with some great touches. I loved the honour bar concept and deed to the overall homeliness of the place. Just wish we had booked to stay longer.

Overall, this hotel is great. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is super friendly and very professional. A few little things implicated our overall experience but we would stay here again, just know more information to make our next stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable. Nice size and the bathroom was great. Our room however shared a door with the cleaning room and the cleaning crew would daily need to go in their room for obvious reasons, but we could hear every word and noise they made in there. If you want to take a nap at any point during the day, this would prohibit that. Our biggest disappointment in the room was the bed. We reserved a king bed and had 2 twin beds pushed together. There was no material that closed the gap between the two beds like we have had before in Europe. The hotel was almost near end of season and the restaurant was closed one of the nights we were there and we didn't know. We were going to have dinner there, but didn't know we had to make a reservation. We just thought we could walk-in since we are guests. It was closed. Joseph was so kind to make us a reservation at a restaurant close by. The wait-staff at breakfast was so kind and we really enjoyed being greeted by them in the mornings. Location of hotel was remote, but if you are planning to make day trips to Assisi or Spoleto or even Todi, this location was great. Overall, we had a good experience.

Beautiful rustic farmhouse with lovely grounds, clean and character filled rooms and good breakfast. Great village of Spoleto is a 15 min drive away and has amazing restaurants.
