The property manager, Ms. Clarke, is an absolute dream! She is the warmest host we could have ever asked for. The property is breathtakingly gorgeous - inspirational, even. We left refreshed and nurtured. Cat Island is a gem.

Beautiful ocean front on a pink sand beach

The owners Nick and Desiree are warm,welcoming and willing to do what is needed to make your experience special. Picked us up at the airport and drove us to the village of New Bight when needed. This is a place of unspoiled natural beauty. We played in the surf,snorkelled in a nearby cove and watched a humpback whale jumping out of the water while we ate breakfast at the Mermaid restaurant on site . Often we were the only ones on the mile or more of beautiful pink sand beach. This is the Bahamas before development . Fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake to the beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic. The sea breeze means no air conditioning is needed. The cottages are very clean, with a small kitchen,fridge and a spacious living area. The beds are very comfortable. Because of the seclusion we had no concerns about security and felt completely safe with our family including our children. This resort is echo friendly and off grid. It is solar powered with propane water heating,always lots of hot water. Unlike many places on the island this resort accepts credit cards. This island is very unique, friendly people, safe and clean. This is a hidden gem. To get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life this is the place.

"A lovely Experience"

Our Hosts were most gracious. Food was excellent at the restaurant Would suggest coffee maker in all rooms, some bowls, and dish soap and sponge. Other than that the resort is GREAT!!

A TASTE OF HEAVEN ON EARTH

OMG!!....Cat Island Bahamas at the Ocean Dream Beach Resort...OMG!!!...This has been one of the most relaxing trips I've ever taken. This resort is just a WOW!!!!!! If you're looking for peace, and more peace, this is the spot. You no longer have to imagine what it feels like falling asleep to the continuous ocean waves, and the unstoppable breeze....It's all here.....amazing! Ocean Dream Resort is the best place I've stayed in the Bahamas. Please don't ever leave this resort without dining at the Mermaids Restaurant, the food is unbelievable,,,, 2 more days and I would have had basically everything off the menu....lol lol.. the staff is sooooooooo efficient and always with a smile...... I totally enjoyed my stay. #I'llbeback #shellshack Any cottage is the best cottage.... everything is just mmmmmuuuuahhhh..... I love this place.....I still can't get the food taste out of my mouth lol......This Resort is off the chain. Thanks for a great unwinding stay Ocean Dream Beach Resort. See you soon.
