"The room was clean but very small, so keep that in mind if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. The bathroom could use better maintenance, as there was visible mold in the shower grout. One important thing to know is that there is no elevator. I was only informed a few days before my trip, and I think this should be clearly disclosed on the Expedia listing. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, so I can’t really comment on the service. Overall, it’s a good choice for the location...

"I arrived at the hotel after departing a cruise to drop off mg luggage around 9:30 am. Amazing, a young woman, helped me. She said I could check in between 2:30 or 3:00. I returned about 2:00 as I was extremely exhausted and needed to check in. I am 77 years old and it was very hot in Nice. She brushed me off. At 2:30 pm I tried again and she would not give me a room. I paid a premium price. Meanwhile, a man came in, was given his stored luggage, and she checked him in with every courtesy....

The front desk check in staff did not inform us that breakfast costs an extra fee and I even clarified that it is included to which he later denied. We also requested to borrow beach towels and they also did not inform us of a charge for those. "The hotel was immaculately clean and pristine, with all the essentials available. The location is excellent — right in the center, surrounded by restaurants and supermarkets, with easy access to both tram and bus lines. All the staff at Best western Alba made all the difference. The front desk checked us in early when our flight landed and gave genuine recommendations, not just a map. Steven went out of his way to help us resolve our issues, and we felt right at home.
