Accommodations were very good, but the service was outstanding. Elizabeth remembered my need to be out the door early without a reminder and did a number of other very thoughtful and above and beyond little things during my stay.
Was an exceptional stay for our mother/daughter trip. Hosts are gracious and attentive, location was serene, and accommodations took us back in time. Lovely breakfast too. Will stay again.
Great location in a beautiful spot with a wonderful maple sugar farm across the street. Perfect spot to go sightseeing, hiking, skiing, but also close to Rutland for city activities.
Very friendly and comfortable.

The house is really pretty with loads of old features. Bedroom very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast delicious!
Would definitely stay there again.
We had such an amazing weekend staying at the Buckmaster Inn! Only a 20 minute drive to Okemo, coming back to a cozy home was the perfect ending to a couple of long ski days. Fantastic hosts, beautiful house, delicious breakfast, would definitely go back!
We had an absolutely lovely time here - cozy and comfortable, with breakfasts to dream about (esp. the chocolate orange scones - my goodness). Elizabeth and Richard were so friendly and welcoming!
Fabulous property with warm and engaging hosts, great breakfasts and unbelievable scenery right outside the front door. You will feel right at home. Loved it.
Elizabeth and Richard are exceptional hosts. Lovely home and property. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and filling. The banana bread and pound cake were soooo good!
A beautiful home to stay in. Our room was perfect. Our host was very welcoming and took time to help us find places to visit. Breakfast was out of this world home baked cakes eggs benedict french toast and pumpkin pancakes with maple syrup. Highly recommend a stay with Elizabeth in this lovely setting .
Elizabeth and Richard were absolutely wonderful hosts! I enjoyed every second of staying at this property. They went out of their way to be hospitable and to make all guests comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic each day and they had wonderful suggestions for the local area. I was already planning a trip back before I had even checked out. Highly recommend!!
Liz and Rich were (are) wonderful hosts! It honestly felt like we were visiting family. The breakfast is delicious, their home is out of this world -- so cutely decorated, comfortable, clean -- and they're very friendly, accommodating and give great recommendations. If you're looking for a quiet getaway to Vermont in the gorgeous rolling hills, I highly recommend The Buckmaster Inn!
I had a great stay at the Buckmaster Inn for ski weekend at Okemo. The house is beautiful with many classic colonial touches throughout. Best of all, Richard and Elizabeth are gracious hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable. It snowed the last night of my stay and Richard got up extra early to clear the driveway and my car! I will be back whenever I can visit.
We had a truly delightful experience at Buckmaster Inn. Liz and Richard, our gracious innkeepers, were exceptional hosts. Their skillful updates breathed new life into their gorgeous 200 year old home. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring superb dishes like ham and cheese quiche, including freshly baked pies lovingly prepared by Liz.
We highly highly recommend Buckmaster Inn and we can’t wait to be back.
This Inn was built in 1801, so it’s a very old Inn. There are not enough superlatives. Fantastic. Awesome. Amazing. Going back definitely. All rooms are beautifully furnished with four-posters and very comfortable chairs. Place to be lived in. Immaculately clean. As soon as you walk in you want to stay forever. Warm. Delicious homemade breakfasts. Innkeeper Elizabeth is friendly and accommodating. We could have talked for hours. Still blissing out days later.
