Great location

The hotel is in a great location, 5 minute walk from the airport bus and nearest metro, and a few seconds to the bus stop that will take you into Myeongdong or Dongdaemun. The view from my room on the 9th floor was beautiful and one of the best things about my stay. The room itself is not the prettiest or most welcoming-looking, and the bed was very hard compared to what I'm used to, but I got used to it quickly and I had a really nice time there. The staff are also super friendly, and I was even allowed to check in 2 hours before the official time as my room was already ready. This was great after having travelled for 17 hours and not something I've experienced at any other hotel I've stayed at in Korea.

Merlin has magic in its staff

While the Merlin is not 5 star, the service is awesome, it’s an older building but what it lacks in appearance is more than compensated by the helpfulness of the manager and other staff. People who complain that it’s old should spend more of their money and go to some fancy hotel where the service can be very impersonal. The Merlin is small but the personnel have big hearts. I definitely would check in here should I visit again.

I wanted to repair the place where I stayed for 4 nights. size, cleaning, and service are no problem. The color of the wallpaper and the place seemed very old. The toothbrush was bad, I thought I needed a big towel. the location was beautiful

This was our first stay at South Korea. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was close to the subways and bus. There was also a emart next door. The location was perfect .

This was our second time staying at this hotel. Everyone liked it the first time and so we stayed there again. We were happy to come back to a familiar place. The hotel also has a scale to weigh our luggage. This helped us sort through things before we took the nearby airport bus.

The sink and washer were both broken they were way to relaxed about security. The code to my room, and many rooms was 1234. When I asked for a new key I didn’t show ID. Just gave them my room number and they printed one out. The worst part was that the pillows and mattress were incredibly uncomfortable. Can’t get past that.

1st time in Seoul for our group. The photos on the website were not what we expected. Room was rather small and could have used some refurbishment. There was a loft, but you could not stand there… I had to crawl from the ladder to my bed. What made up for the room was the staff. Very helpful! They provided free bottled water and had a laundry service across the street for us. The hotel was close to one of the subway stations and rather convenient. Would we stay there again?…. Probably not as it was too small for us. What made it okay was the staff’s friendliness and we were only there to shower/sleep since we were out the whole 7 days we stayed there. Also, get a room on the opposite side of the street as the sun makes the room very warm (even with the A/C) on.

初の韓国一人旅で利用させてもらいました。 口コミにも書いてある通り、シャワーカーテンがないので気をつけて浴びないといけないのがマイナス。浴室ドアに隙間が空いているので廊下の方までびしょびしょ。あとは床暖房が効いているけどエアコンで調整できないので布団の中に入っていないと寒い。風呂入ってすぐ寝るならいいけど、少しお酒飲んで寝ようとしたら寒かった。 チェックインは日本語ペラペラな女性が対応してくれて韓国語話せなくても安心です。親切に対応していただきました。 バス停も近いので、部屋にこだわりなく寝るための部屋として利用するには良いです。

韓国ソウル旅行のベースとしてエクスペディアで予約しました。 エクスペディアからは明確な予約確定通知が来なかったので直電で予約確認をした上で訪れました。 ロケーションは最寄りの駅が「忠武路」で明洞からは一駅、ソウルからも三駅の好立地でした。 バス停もすぐ近くにあり大変便利でした。 ご人家族なのでどんな部屋かと心配していましたが、いざチェックインしてみると最上階のロフト付きの部屋で、下層にはシングルベッドが3つ、ロフトにマットの寝床が2つと言う設定でした。 アメニティーは歯ブラシと髭剃り以外は揃っていたかと思います。 何よりフロントのオバサマとオジサマがとても愛想が良く親切で、その上ロビーには無料のミネラルウォーターと朝はコーヒーとバナナケーキが振る舞われとても助かりました。 ベッドは硬めですが総評価としてはかなり好印象でした、お勧めです。

少しカタコトだけど日本語対応してくれる男性の方と普通に流暢にお話できる女性の方がいました。 でも、常にフロントに常駐しているわけではなく、呼び出しボタンもないので、何かあった時はすぐ呼べないかもしれません。 外出する際は、常にカードキーを持参し、帰るときにフロントに置いてある返却皿に戻しました。 今回、泊まったシャワー管理はシャンプー、ボディーソープが全く補充されてなかったので、持参必須した方がいいです。
