Family Trip to Seoul – Grand Family Room Review The Designers Hotel Jongno When you travel to Seoul with family from Australia, the biggest challenge isn’t the flight — it’s the sleeping arrangement. Six adults. Different sleep habits. Parents who value quiet rest. Younger ones who still have energy at midnight. We were honestly worried. That’s why we chose the Grand Family Room at The Designers Hotel Jongno. The moment we walked in, my parents paused for a second. My mum’s first words were, “Oh… this is actually very nice.” And that says a lot. The beds were already neatly aligned, with crisp white linens and plenty of pillows. Everything looked clean, bright, and properly prepared — not like a room where extra beds were just squeezed in. My dad immediately walked to the wall side bed, pressed the mattress with his hand, and nodded. “Good support,” he said. Approval granted. What surprised us most was how comfortable the layout felt. Even though we were six people in one room, it didn’t feel chaotic. There was enough space to move around. Luggage didn’t block the walkway. The low center table became our little gathering spot — we placed snacks we bought in Jongno, plugged in our phones, and just sat around talking about the day. For my parents, comfort is everything when traveling. They’re sensitive to noise and cleanliness. That night, before turning off the lights, my mum said, “I’m glad we didn’t book two separate rooms. This feels warmer.” She was right

I came to Korea with my husband to visit his family, and toward the end of our trip he had a medical appointment at Seoul National University Hospital. Because of that, we looked for a hotel that would make the hospital visit easy, and we decided to stay at Designers Hotel Jongno. It ended up being a much better stay than I expected. The room was clean, comfortable, and practical. Nothing fancy, but everything felt well-maintained. The bed linens were fresh, the bathroom was very clean, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent, which was honestly one of my favorite parts after long days outside. The room also felt bright and had a good layout, which made it easy to unpack and settle in. There was a safe in the room, which made keeping my passport and valuables secure really simple. I also appreciated the small desk area, which was convenient when I needed to sort through travel documents. The hotel provides bicycles for rent, so one morning I took a quick ride around the neighborhood. Jongno is easy to explore, and walking along the nearby Cheonggyecheon stream was really refreshing. The area felt lively but not crowded. We had a car with us during our stay, and parking was very convenient, which made exploring the city without worrying about finding a spot much easier. 立地もとても良くホテルも綺麗でした ひとつ言えばシャワーカーテンが無いので浴室がびしょ濡れで水が溜まりトイレの方まで濡れるので入るのが大変でした 友達の部屋は専用スリッパがありましたが私の部屋にはありませんでした 私の部屋は空気清浄機がありましたが友達の部屋には無かったようです 同じ時に同じ料金で申し込んだので評価ひとつ下げました
テレビは大きくてチャンネル数も多いので楽しいです

For my trip to central Seoul, I chose Hotel The Designers Jongno, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Jongno 3-ga Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. Upon arrival, the front desk staff greeted me warmly and provided clear and attentive guidance during check-in, setting a positive tone for the entire stay. The rooms reflect the unique and stylish design concept of the hotel. The soft lighting and thoughtful decor created a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a full day of sightseeing. The bedding was comfortable and spotless, and essential amenities such as a mini-fridge, electric kettle, and hairdryer were all thoughtfully provided. A notable feature is the laundry room on the first floor, which is very convenient for long stays or unexpected laundry needs. The hotel also has a convenience store where guests can purchase snacks and drinks, including beer, making it easy to enjoy refreshments without leaving the building. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring on foot. Cheonggyecheon Stream is just a short walk away, offering a peaceful stroll by day and a beautifully illuminated path by night. The Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, Insa-dong, and the vibrant Gwangjang Market are all nearby, allowing visitors to experience the charm of Seoul effortlessly. From the moment I walked into the stylish lobby, I could feel that this hotel pays great attention to both design and comfort. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help — they made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another visitor. The room was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully decorated, with unique design touches that made it feel special and personal. The bed linens were spotless, the towels were fresh and fluffy, and the whole room just felt well cared for. Later I found out the hotel had **recently replaced all their towels**, which totally explained why everything smelled so clean and felt brand new. Hotel The Designers Jongno – A Refined Stay with Comfort and Culinary Delights My recent trip to Seoul was mainly for LASIK surgery at Seoul National University Hospital 👀. Since I needed a comfortable place to recover, I chose Hotel The Designers Jongno, and it turned out to be the perfect choice ✨. Located in the heart of Jongno, the hotel offers excellent accessibility. It’s within walking distance of Seoul National University Hospital, Bukchon Hanok Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Insadong. There are also plenty of cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby, making the stay incredibly convenient. The room design is modern and stylish, with plenty of natural light creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The bed was soft and clean, perfect for resting after surgery. The bathroom was spotless, with a great shower and stable hot water supply. There’s also a small workspace and fast Wi-Fi, which made it easy to work or relax 💻. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. When my schedule suddenly changed due to the surgery, they kindly assisted with rescheduling and transportation arrangements. I had to switch rooms twice due to issues—a cramped layout in the first (bathtub next to the bed and a narrow bathroom), a leaking bathtub in the second, and in the third, a hard bed, intrusive light from another room, no city view as advertised, and a door that wouldn’t close properly. The front desk representative (man with glasses) was professional and explained it was the last available room, but overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations.

During my trip to Seoul, I stayed at Jongno Designers Hotel for a few days, and it exceeded my expectations. Located in the heart of Jongno, the hotel lets you enjoy the perfect mix of tradition and modernity. The location is excellent. Gwangjang Market, Cheonggyecheon Stream, Myeongdong, Insadong, and Bosingak are within walking distance or a short ride. I enjoyed shopping in Myeongdong, tried local foods like bindaetteok, yukhoe, and “kkwabaegi” at Gwangjang Market, and took relaxing walks along Cheonggyecheon and Insadong. Transportation is very convenient. Subway and bus stops are nearby, so taxis were rarely needed. Being in the city center, there is plenty to see and do without visiting major tourist spots. The hotel interior is stylish and cozy. The “Designers” concept is evident throughout. I was pleasantly surprised that the first floor sells snacks and drinks. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the electric heating pad kept me warm. The multi-outlet compatible with various plugs made charging easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. They greeted me with a smile, communicated well in English, and gave tips about local restaurants and attractions. The hotel also provides bike rental and free washer/dryer. Overall, Jongno Designers Hotel excels in location, cleanliness, service, amenities, and attention to detail. The calm atmosphere and comfortable space made my stay memorable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.

It was a precious time during my trip where I could feel warmth and attention to detail. The hotel’s location is excellent. It’s within walking distance to Jongno 3-ga subway station, and major tourist spots like Cheonggyecheon Stream and Gwangjang Market are nearby, making it convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and food adventures. The exterior has a modern design, and especially at night, the lighting adds a sophisticated atmosphere. Upon entering the lobby, I immediately felt a clean and warm ambiance, and the front desk staff greeted me with smiles, giving me a sense of comfort as if I had returned home. I arrived quite late at night, but the hotel’s 24-hour front desk service made checking in smooth and hassle-free. The staff were very professional and friendly, providing detailed information about the hotel facilities and the surrounding area, which made me look forward to the rest of my trip. Especially, having a staff member who spoke Chinese helped me communicate smoothly without any language barriers, which was really convenient. The room I stayed in was a modern-style double room. I stayed one night at Hotel The Designers Jongno during my trip to Seoul, and it was a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming from check-in, explaining everything clearly and making me feel truly cared for — it really set a positive tone for my stay. The location was perfect for sightseeing — Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, Insadong, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Cheonggyecheon Stream were all within walking distance. It was so convenient to explore the area without needing transportation, and there were plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby as well. Parking was available for an additional fee, which was convenient since I had my car. There were also light snacks and simple meals available late at night, which was great when I didn’t feel like going out. When I had trouble ordering delivery, a staff member kindly helped me — I really appreciated their thoughtfulness and excellent service. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a spotless bathroom and a shared microwave on each floor for heating food or drinks. I especially liked that the hotel had laundry and drying machines available. Since it rained during my stay, being able to wash and dry my clothes made everything feel so much fresher and more comfortable. ☔💛 Overall, I had an excellent stay. The combination of great location, cleanliness, and warm hospitality made it feel like a home away from home. I’d love to stay here again!

昨年に続き、1年ぶりに「ザ·デザイナーズホテル鍾路」のスタンダードルームに宿泊しました。 前回の滞在がとても快適だったので、また訪れるのを楽しみにしていたのですが、今回はさらにグレードアップした施設にとても感動しました。 特に、リニューアルされたアメニティやロビーの雰囲気がおしゃれで、女性一人でも安心して快適に過ごせる空間になっています。 肌の管理を目的に韓国を訪問しましたが、ホテルの室内環境がとても良くて滞在中に肌の状態がとても安定的でした。 2泊3日の短い滞在でしたが、ホテルの立地も良く、近くにカフェやコスメショップ、エステなどもたくさんあり、美容目的の旅行には本当に最適でした。 職員の方々もとても親切で、日本語ができる職員がいてとても良かったです 今回もすべてに満足し、素敵な思い出とともに帰国しました。 また韓国を訪れる際にはぜひこのホテルを利用したいです。 ありがとうございました！
