My daughter and I get away every few months. We love Monterey, i tried Seaside because it's about 5 minutes outside of the areas we normally go to. Besides the construction at 9am and dog barking next door to us, we had a good stay. The room was quiet and cozy throughout the night.

Look, it's a solid motel. It's got what you need to sleep comfortably overnight in an area that provides a plethora of adventure and opportunity. Save your money on the expensive hotels and spend it in town. It's not the quietest area in town, so you'll want to bring something to mask the noise or bring ear plugs. That's probably the only drawback.

Check in was easy. But we got the key to our room and it was being cleaned. We had to wait another 20 minutes to go in. Everything was clean and in working order. AC was nice and beds were comfortable enough. Its not fancy but it was good for our short stay.

The room was very clean, the ice machines were easy to access, and staff was very kind and helpful. The location was just okay. Nothing was close enough to walk to, and there was a homeless encampment right behind the building outside our window, which was uncomfortable. I found the deposit to be a bit expensive for a motel, and the rules were very strict. Overall, decent stay, but we likely wouldn’t come back.

the AC worked, however there was a fan and it was soooo dusty as well as the whole room. there was hair stuck in the sheets. all the staff were super nice. the parking was easy there was no soap in the shower. when we first walked in the room was sooo stuffy and the window had a bunch of condensation
