"I Portici is a great choice while in Bologna, beautiful property, a couple of blocks from Bologna Centrale train station, and on the fringe of the old town, easy walking distance to all the sites and restaurants. Breakfast was served in the old theater (where the I Portici restaurant operates from), and we enjoyed many afternoons with an Aperitif in the Cafe, or on the Osteria Terrace. Warning though: the hotel sits adjacent to the City park and every night there is loud “Techno Music/Beats” being played in the park. Friday nights are especially bothersome, and the music goes on past 10 PM. We had a terrace room on the back corner of the hotel, and the staff did not warn us in advance that this goes on every night, … however with the windows closed, and the doors to the terrace closed we had no trouble sleeping after toe full days of Bologna site seeing. On the Osteria terrace they play soft contemporary music, but after the techno music starts all else gets drown out."

"It was OK. The single bed room was fine for me but it is small...unremarkable stay. Bedding and housekeeping were excellent. Really enjoyed the location in a local neighborhood away from the crowds. As I read before booking, the walks are thin and you hear all the ambient noises. I lucked out and had relatively quiet in the adjacent room and I always travel with Bose noise cancellation headphones which block out almost all noises. All things considered, I would stay again but get a bigger room."
