Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Magnolia. The staff were excellent, well-trained and probably the highlight of the hotel - Ariel at the reception, Diego at breakfast, Gabriel who very kindly helped us catch our airport transport when parking for them was tricky...and all the others as well. Unlike almost all other hotels we stayed at in Chile, here it felt that they understood what hospitality really is and that small gestures matter a lot. The hotel's building is really nice and we enjoyed having breakfast in the atrium and even just spending time in the lobby. The only "negative" - but not the hotel's fault in any way - were the surroundings at night, which did not feel inviting for a walk after sunset (but felt completely safe during the day).

Nice enough, but not exceptional. I went because it had very high ratings but it simply isn’t exceptional. Room was comfortable enough - about average for its class - service and food were very average. Breakfast was a limited, average, and repetitive buffet. Small room that filled up quickly so no place to sit some days. No perks, just nothing very special. At that price point there are very good hotels nearby.

The staff are exceptional. Rangiroa Tuki is an excellent concierge. He was extremely helpful in securing tours to Santa Rita winery and Valparaiso. This boutique hotel is centrally located with restaurants two blocks away. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely restored boutique hotel in great location. Nice rooftop bar/restaurant. Room could use better lighting and front desk staff not particularly friendly. Price point too high comparatively. Similar hotels booked by friends 1/4 of the price.

Hotel Magnolia was a wonderful stay! It was walking distance to many city attractions and parks to explore. The rooftop bar was amazing and the decor & architecture of the hotel was unique, modern, inspired by nature, and stunning. We will be back!

The Magnolia is a charming looking boutique hotel in a good location. However the hotel's aim to be stylish and chic is, to some extent, at the cost of practicality. We had a reasonable size room but the lighting was terrible, no USB ports, only a few hangers, a shower set up which sprayed the rest of the bathroom, sink stopper didn't work, no info in the room about the hotel and one working channel on the TV! Check in not very welcoming. The rest of the staff were great and the Terrace restaurant was lovely. So, some good some bad.

Perfectly normal located in downtown! Front desk and reception staff were very kind and ready to give advice. The concierge hired for us two great tours on a very short notice! We highly recommend this hotel!

Already had the best room, so no upgrade. Very nice hotel, breakfast very good and the hotel is within walking distance from city center en next to Santa Lucía hill where Santiago was founded. I recommend this hotel had a great stay.

The hotel was fine. Clean, nice, and modern. Hotel is within walking distance to most city center activities and landmarks. Make sure to do your research because there are some “tough” areas of town you might want to avoid. We walked everywhere without issue, but some tourists might want to beware. Hotel has security guard in day and locks doors with buzz in at night for extra security. The staff was present but not really warm or welcoming. We stayed 6 days and staff looked at us as strangers each time we entered the hotel. The security guards just stared at us upon entry. That was strange. The best staff was house cleaning team and bellman who helped us with our bags. The concierge was somewhat helpful but required a lot of follow up to confirm our needs and reservations were understood or met. My husband speaks fluent Spanish, so the lack of communication was strange. On New Year’s Eve, the same staff we’d seen for six days waited on us at the roof top dinner and FINALLY warmed up and were very pleasant that evening. Lastly, the hotel has a lot of nice seating areas and “cubby holes” to relax, read, have a drink. Those come in handy if you’re flight arrives early AM and you can’t checkin until 3PM. Our checkin was a bit challenging, staff seemed flustered and told us our room would be ready early (11:30AM), however, the room ended up being ready really late instead. 20 minutes after the 3PM checkin time and they seemed to have lost our checkin information when we returned

We really enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia hotel. The boutique hotel is beautiful and the location is great, right in the middle of downtown Santiago and within walking distance to most attractions, yet very quiet. The rooms are modern, bathrooms great, good shower pressure, beds were comfortable. We enjoyed te rooftop terrace for drinks and one dinner. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast had a good selection, probably the best we had in Chile. Overall, we recommend this hotel highly and would not hesitate to go back there, should we return to Santiago.
