"The Apartment is amazing, and must be one of the best on the beachfront. Easy walking distance to the Beach, to the Tug and Jetty Restaurants and to good bars. "We stayed 1 night in the family unit on the second floor with the double bed and 2 twins. The room was very clean and the property is quiet and well maintained. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet that was included. The reception and eating area was very homely which we liked. The wifi was intermittent which was fine for us. It is a few minutes walk to the store to buy food and snacks and about 15mins to walk to the beach. All in all we had a nice stay!"

"The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff are friendly. The restaurant is good. Our bathroom was big. All in all we had a good time. The only things to note were a non-functioning elevator (they offer help with luggage) and the lack of closet space in the rooms. You need to keep everything in your suit case."

"The staff were super helpful and welcoming. There is a hotel restaurant in the building next door which does breakfast and dinner. The menu looked great but I didn’t get chance to have my breakfast as my transport back to Windhoek arrived at 7am (worth bearing in mind if you are booking a shared shuttle bus back to the city)!"

"The view from our room was simply spectacular. An executive room, number 4, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and jetty. Next to the jetty is one of two restaurants, the Tug, a few minutes walk and outstanding food and service. The room itself was great, comfortable beds, and wonderful shower with nice water pressure. The fridge was perfect for chilling wine and beer. The elevator was very much appreciated. We had the pleasure of talking to Jolande at reception, who managed to book an excellent tour for us, of the Skeleton Coast and Cape Cross. The other staff at reception were very helpful too, providing us with ice for drinks, and offering tips and answering all of our questions. The ladies at breakfast were simply wonderful, so friendly, and providing excellent service. Some good food choices, and the eggs were always a good way to start the day. We didn't use the bar onsite, as we purchased wine and beer at the grocery store just a few minutes walk away. Swakopmund is a gem by the ocean, and our stay at A La Mer couldn’t have been any better. "

"What a wonderful stay. Super staff, really nice facilities. We booked last minute and after so long on the road camping, to have such a comfortable welcoming place to stay was a godsend. Room is very clean, very well equipped and the staff is ready to help with absolutely anything. I can't thank them enough. "
