This place was nice and safe with a great pool and parking. Its nearby the good surf and lots of good restaurants in Surf City. I would come and stay again. Oh, and the beachside palapas was very nice.

We had a beautiful day here! The pool and restaurant and comfortable rooms are amazing. The closest area to explore is a little bit of a walk, but it’s worth it: (the Malecon) There, however, is a beach with beautiful smooth rocks right in front if you want to just stay at the facility. The manager and lead bartender Javier is very friendly, he personally assisted us in transportation to our next spot. Also, ask for Joanna at breakfast! She is very nice. Karla can make a phone call to facilitate transport if it’s difficult to get Uber. Will be back !

I enjoyed my stay at Pacific Sunrise Hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is older, but everything was in working order and the airconditioner was top notch. There was very good security at the hotel and the gates were locked at night with a security guard patrolling. The complementary breakfast was a welcomed addition. Thank you Pacific Sunrise Hotel!

Lovely staff! They were very patient with my north American Spanish. Good food! Room was pristeen clean! Bed was maybe too comfortable and I slept in past my alarm. Wonderful overstuffed bed pillows. It was raining so I didn't get to take advantage of the beach balcony overlook that would be delightful on a sunny day. Only draw back was the lack of an elevator but they insist on carrying bags so it really wasn't an issue for me. Gated private hotel parking area out front.

Nice Exterior Appearance but Poor Quality Overall

About the only positive about this hotel is the Service provided by it's employees. However, it lacks most everything else in order to provide a nice lodging experience... Observed positives: Comfortable beds, Pool area, Breakfast provided, attentive personnel. Negatives experienced: Extremely limited toiletry items & towels, No a/c in general area, No fridge in rooms (how are you supposed to have a cold drink available; and I cannot imagine families with children!), Limited power outlets in room (one cannot connect a PC at the small desk provided), No closet nor enough furniture to store clothes or personal items, No alarm clock, No Phone, Descent bed sheets/not enough covers, etc... Ah, and there's no elevator, so make sure you as for a room downstairs if you are carrying heavy luggage!
