Stay at Clandestino Hotel in San Miguel.

I had a wonderful stay at Clandestino Hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and gracious, making check-in smooth and welcoming. My room was beautiful, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I also loved the hotel’s location—close enough to the center to explore easily, yet tucked away just enough to enjoy a sense of seclusion and calm. Highly recommend for a relaxing and stylish stay in San Miguel.

This is the ONLY properly in SMA to consider.

This very small boutique hotel (only eight rooms) was absolutely amazing. The property is beautiful, perfectly located within the Historic Center of SMA, and the staff was nothing short of spectacular. Our stay felt so personal, like a well run B&B. We had the deluxe room with balcony, which was large and well appointed. Breakfast, which in added to our stay, was so fresh and authentic. We absolutely loved every minute and would endorse this property ten fold.

The staff is amazing. I had doubts about the hotel since the price was low for a hotel of this quality. I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best hotels for the money in San Miguel where prices for similar hotels have risen considerably in the last few years. You get nesspreso coffee, water, sodas, wifi, breakfast and several other goodies (a drink per person per stay in their roof bar). Like I said in the beginning of this review, the best thing in this hotel is the service you get from all the people that work in the hotel. I highly recommend the Clandestino Hotel at Recreo.

Nice, modern hotel and staff. But loud construction noise next door led us to check out early though. The staff on site was helpful and understanding, but we are still waiting to hear from management on a credit they had promised us. Beware the noise next door - it is a serious construction project that will last many months from now.

The hotel is beautiful and the bed is so comfortable!! We were pleasantly surprised when they told us they had upgraded us to a bigger room, free of charge. Staff is very helpful. They have free parking and will take/bring you car for you to the parking lot since it’s located a ways from the hotel. I suggest calling them as you’re getting closer if you drive there so they can be waiting for you outside the hotel. They will help you with suitcases and take the car, since the street does get a bit of traffic at times. Breakfast is included, but it’s nothing to write home about. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I just got back from staying at this beautiful adults-only hotel in San Miguel de Allende, and I’m already dreaming of going back. The town is absolutely magical, and the hotel itself feels like a hidden gem—just eight cozy rooms that have everything you need to feel right at home. Breakfast every morning was such a lovely touch, and the whole place has this peaceful, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, charming getaway.
