This property was such a beautiful retreat away from the city. It’s very peaceful, the views are incredibly picturesque and the service is warm and attentive. The restaurant was really good, and our favorite part is that they will bring you your meals straight to your villa upon request, so you can truly relax. Be sure to ask for Milo, he’s simply fantastic. 😉

Our experience at Hotel La Pausa was very disappointing. The cleaning ladies and waiters are polite and decent, but the man at the front desk is opportunistic, unfriendly, and has a very poor attitude. They even tried to charge us for services we did not use. The Wi-Fi never worked during our entire stay, and the water —as shown in our video— was dirty at all times. On top of that, the front desk man doesn’t greet guests upon arrival or say goodbye upon departure, showing a total lack of courtesy. For the high prices they charge, the quality of service is terrible. We would not return and do not recommend this place.

This property is about 20 mins from Guatapé. The staff are very friendly, but that's about it. The roads to the hotel is horrible and most taxis don't want to go. There isn't much to do. 45,000 for taxi to Guatapé one way. I wouldn't swim in the water. The restaurant is very good. The room was a little dirty when we arrived. There is no air-conditioning and it gets very hot in the day. For the price there should be air-conditioning and a decent road to access. They were building new rooms when we stayed, so the sound of construction all day. Not peaceful at all. They should put that effort into fixing the road. I don't think it's worth it and i won't be staying again.
